I'm terrified of getting my first vaccine. What side effects did people have with each vaccine?

OP posts:

My mum and dad: 3 x Pfizer, no side effects at all
My sister and brother in law: 2 x AZ, 1 x Pfizer, no side effects at all
My brother: 1st AZ headache, 2nd AZ and 1x Pfizer , no side effects at all
Me: 1st AZ tired the next day, 2nd AZ, 1 x Pfizer, no side effects at all
Child 1: 2 x Pfizer, no side effects at all
Child 2: 1 x Pfizer (so far!), no side effects apart from a sore arm if he pressed it.

Each time I’ve been to a vaccination place (3 times for me and twice with my children) the atmosphere has been really positive and jolly, much more so than you get waiting in a GP surgery.

Could you go to a walk in one in the middle of the night so you don’t have to get tense waiting in the queue?

Moderna jabs. Sore arm after both jabs but no headache or any other issues.

One thing I have noticed is that since I've had the vaccines my periods have been less painful and shorter than they were before. Possibly just a coincidence but I'm not complaining either way!

Two AstraZeneca only side effects were aching arm.
Honestly you must know by now the risks you take by not having the vaccines. If I were you I would just focus on getting it booked then try not to think about it. Get someone to take you there on the day of the vaccine and the people who work there will help you if you have anxiety. I was super nervous due to personal risk factors and they were so good with me.

First jab - nothing
Second - mild fluey type feelings for a few hours the next day
Booster - tired and off colour the next day.

That’s it. It doesn’t hurt. Anxiety is awful but honestly you’ll feel better if you get yourself down there. You don’t want to be looking after a baby with Covid, and (sorry to lay on the guilt) in the unlikely event you did get proper ill you don’t want to deprive someone elderly of a hospital bed.

Could a friend come with you to hold your hand? The staff will be kind either way - tell them you are anxious - they can take you off to a quiet corner.

Hey OP, I had my booster this morning and wondered how you were getting on? Just so you know, feel fine so far (straight on to other errands after, people were fine to leave straight away provided their previous responses were fine) other than a sore arm but I did weights yesterday and that always makes the jab a bit more sore for me I find, so it's nothing worrying. Hope you're feeling alright about it all. Jab anxiety is no joke.

A Z 1st - flu like symptoms about 12 hours after jab, and felt a bit blah the following day.
AZ 2nd - felt fine but brought back menopause symptoms - night sweats, anxiety, metallic taste which, whilst not overwhelming, haven't gone away.
Pfizer booster - incredibly stiff arm which lasted 2 or 3 days.

That said, would I have them again - absolutely.
