Good morning Mumsnet! What's everyone doing today?

I'm just drinking my usual cup of tea, in silence. There's no noise apart from the fridge humming to itself! Absolute bliss.

I need to do some washing, wash up last night's pots and put out the recycling.

We're going to have a wander to Asda for sweets to decorate the gingerbread house, baking ingredients, and some food for the next few days. I've run down the freezer ready for the Christmas shop but seem to have forgotten that we actually need to eat before then

Later on, I plan to carry on with my crochet project, and the girls wanted to make mince pies 😋

We had a lovely lie in this morning as we are all shattered then dh made coffee and toast in bed and we watched Saturday kitchen while dd’s lay in too.
We are a full house as adult dd’s are home for Christmas but dd1 has covid for the second Christmas running so we are hoping we avoid it this year too but dd3 (16) is recovering from an epic cold ( negative pcr) so it feels rather disease ridden here.
Dh did chores outside and I wrapped the last presents after BLT’s for lunch .
Now chilling with a Baileys and mumsnetting while dh has the sport on and dd2 is prepping a butternut squash risotto for dinner .
Watching a movie together tonight.

Getting ready to watch Strictly with glass of red wine. Visited dd2 and her partner as they move into their new house. Dropped off presents etc.

I went out to lunch with a disgraceful attractive fireman. If I was interested in having a relationship he is definitely the sort of person I could go for

I've been in bed since about 5p.m. yesterday and have only just got up. I had my booster jab yesterday morning and it's knocked me for 6! Starting to feel a bit more human but I still have a crushing headache.

I did my Saturday run in the end . 19 miles today. Anyone fancy a Sunday run. I'm looking for motivation
