I'm desperately trying to stay awake but I keep nodding off and falling off my chair!
Ds has fallen asleep and is peaceful after being in terrible pain prior to coming to a&e.
He has suspected appendicitis Sad

Fantastic 🙂

Glad he’s on the mend!

Great news, hope he makes a swift recovery! My DS created an elaborate confection with cling film and tape to avoid getting his dressing wet in the shower just now.

Glad he's ok and you're both home soon and can have a lovely Christmas 🎄😊

Hurrah! Glad he’s had the op and now on the mend! You must be sooo looking forward to your own bed (as must he!) Xmas Smile

Good news!
I had mine out a few years ago and was told post op that l'd have 3 weeks until I felt almost recovered and then by 5 weeks I'd be fully recovered. That was keyhole surgery and luckily the scars are barely visible now.
I had 3 very young children at the time and was exhausted after the surgery and the anaesthetic but glad to have the pain gone!

Morning, Op- hope your son in on the mend. I was in a similar position to you with my DD who is 7. She had an appendectomy on the same day as your son but hers was ruptured and she had peritonitis. It was done via keyhole but she had iv antibiotics and a surgical drain in for 4 days. We got out on Christmas Day. I’m just wondering how his recovery has been. 3 weeks post op and we’ve been back to hospital with her being in excruciating pain. She was screaming. The surgeon ruled out any further infection as her bloods were normal. They put it down to colicky wind. Fast forward to last night and we’ve been up all night with her screaming in agony again and not keeping anything down at all. I’m just wondering if your son has had any issues post op? She’s bringing up lots of gas but I don’t know if I should take her back to the gp or if they will just dismiss it as wind again.
