Fire and Stone Ive heard is quite good, any other recommendations?

I like Franco Manca; the sourdough bases are delicious. Don't know if you'd count it as 'posh' enough though.

If you want proper pizza Napolitano in particular pizza fritta then you can't beat 50Kalo just off Trafalgar Square (it's on Northumberland Avenue)

Circolo Populare would be fun - good pizza, nice atmosphere. Definitely need to book though!

Fire &Stone was hideous but I liked the ambience. I mean, I once had a pizza with a pile of wok fried noodles bunged in the middle of it. Their flavour combinations were 'inspired'

There are loads but you probably don’t want to to spend an hour travel to Ealing/Clapham/Stratford for pizza..!

What's the one in Ealing? I'm close to there

50 Kalo hands down. The rest are chains or imitators, that is the true deal Neapolitan. Great place for a leisurely lunch but not overpriced. Interesting selection of toppings.

Pizza Pilgrims did not start as a chain.

Rudys then Pizza Pilgrims. I have a pizza obsessed DH so have tried almost every pizza in London.

Fire & Stone was absolute crap. Best pizza I ever ate was at the sadly departed San Marco on Clapham High St. Was amazing. Now I would always pick Pizza Pilgrims or Homeslice.

Other really good ones are Pizza Metro in Battersea, Bravi Ragazzi in Streatham and just outside London my absolute fav is Monte Forte in Reigate
