Which area?

There are loads but you probably don’t want to to spend an hour travel to Ealing/Clapham/Stratford for pizza..!

SortCode · 13/12/2021 10:29

Nope would rather be central london or around Covent Garden etc,

Also been told about Bunga Bunga

ICCO on Goodge Street - although I reckon it's more casual than you're looking for. When I dream of pizza, it's from this place.

SortCode · 13/12/2021 10:44

Yes wanted "posh" pizza :)

I hate Fire and Stone with a passion. Pizza Pilgrims is great.

mynameiscalypso · 13/12/2021 10:47

I also had an amazing pizza at Chiltern Firehouse a few weeks ago.

Haus1234 · 13/12/2021 10:49

Didn’t Fire and Stone close? I had a good one at Rudy’s in Soho recently

readit · 13/12/2021 11:28

Agree with Rudy’s in Soho

Pierino in South Kensington. It's great.

It might not be the bit of Central London you're looking for but it's close to the Natural History Museum so if anyone's taking their kids there they could try it.

It's not scruffy but maybe not posh enough.

SW1amp · 13/12/2021 12:04

Pizza Pilgrims in Victoria or soho
Bunga bunga is fun but the pizza is not why you go - it’s a night out (if you’re in your 20s) with pizza and cocktails
Berbere in Clapham

MotherWol · 13/12/2021 12:06

Another vote for Rudy’s, and I love Theo’s in Elephant & Castle, but that’s because they’re my local. Of the chains, Pizza Pilgrims and Franco Manca are the best. Fire & Stone is dire and full of tourists.

Sunsetsupernova · 13/12/2021 12:07

Pizza Pilgrims
Franco Manca
Homeslice
Rudy’s

Agree that Bunga Bunga is basically a sticky floored nightclub that also serves pizza

FionaCorkesWardrobebyKamizole · 13/12/2021 12:09

Pizza Sophia in Tavistock Place does amazing pizza, though it may not be as posh as you are looking for .

itwasntaparty · 13/12/2021 12:12

Homeslice, think there's one in Covent Garden, I've only been to the City one so not sure what the restaurant is like.

Gordon Ramsay but it's in the City, Southwark and I think Battersea

Nikita1709 · 13/12/2021 12:15

Dear god don't go to Bunga Bunga - truly hideous. Santa Maria have an outpost in Fitzrovia. I've only been to the Ealing one, but without a doubt, the best pizza I've had in London.

TempsPerdu · 13/12/2021 12:18

Another vote for Pizza Pilgrims here.

That's the second vote for ICCO I've heard lately.

We went past last week and it was recommended by someone I asked the directions - she said: "You'll see Icco on the corner and that's the street you want. Their pizzas are great by the way."

It was bright and canteeny and we were looking for somewhere posher for dinner and with wine. But next time I'm in the area I'll get a pizza there now you're recommended it too. Tnanks.

freezingmytoesoff · 13/12/2021 12:25

Crust Bro's in Waterloo/Wandsworth - the one in Wandsworth is also in Sambrooks Brewery so double plus if you like beer.

Horriblewoman · 13/12/2021 12:30

Any of the restaurants in the big mamma group feel like you're dining somewhere cool and fancy. Circolo poppulare especially and their pizzas are pretty good.

SeafrontBingo · 13/12/2021 14:20

Where does deep dish? USA pizza pie?

iwantavuvezela · 13/12/2021 14:23

I love this place .... Homeslice ... in Covent Garden in a small little area of the main drag (opposite the Neals yard)

Tried Pizza Pilgrims (Carnaby) for the first time on Saturday and it was, I think, the best pizza I've ever had. Really, really good.

SaturdayKitchenDisco · 13/12/2021 14:37

Gourmet pizza at Gabriels wharf on South bank

ShirleyPhallus · 13/12/2021 14:40

Another vote for Homeslice or Pizza Pilgrims

You go to bunga bunga for a litre of cava and the possibility of a shag later that night

thecircusclown · 13/12/2021 15:27

Obica on Poland st do delicious pizzas, slightly less causal too.
