@MintJulia

He's hardly St Boris but I just can't get excited about a meeting of people who had already spent the day working together. 12 months ago. No it shouldn't have happened but there is always someone ignoring the rules. Celebrities, politicians of all flavours, whoever.
Yeah we spent 12+ hours working together in icu.

Didn’t socialise afterwards.

MarshaBradyo · 12/12/2021 10:58

The people sitting with him weren't virtual were they.

So if any office had people wfh and 3 in and they did a quiz you’d expect they all sat separately to do it to comply to lockdown rules?

That seems proportionate to you

LadyWithLapdog · 12/12/2021 11:11

Do you remember all the way back to pro-roguing the Parliament? Johnson started as he went on. Bending the law and not giving a shit.

LadyWithLapdog · 12/12/2021 11:11

He lied to the Queen then, he's been lying to people too.

Tealightsandd · 12/12/2021 11:12

@Frazzled2207

I don’t think that pic by itself is that bad. At the end of the day it’s a zoom quiz. But arguably they should have had more important things to do that day.

I think what could easily capsize the ship would be a pic at THE party that has been so strenuously denied. Or the one at his flat.

But as others have said I’d be very worried about a replacement PM. According the Twitter it will be between Sunak and LIZ TRUSS. Jeez.

Yes. This.
Fuckedoffisanunderstatement · 12/12/2021 11:14

Probably leaked on purpose to allow him to step down

Funnily enough I didn't make the rules. You weren't allowed to mix if it wasn't work and a quiz, virtual or otherwise, isn't part of the PMs job.

If you had a problem with the law you should have spoken to Johnson not me.

LadyWithLapdog · 12/12/2021 11:23

He won't step down. He'll brazen it out with the help of plenty sycophants and don't rock the boat types in his party. Has Johnson ever shown any sign of decency and ethics in public office?

ancientgran · 12/12/2021 11:24

Would anyone stop him stepping down? I hope there aren't rules about parties when he does because the police wouldn't be able to enforce them.
LadyWithLapdog · 12/12/2021 11:24

Whether the rules were proportionate or not is not the point. He fucking made them, he should fucking follow them. Geez, it's not such a moral conundrum.

MarshaBradyo · 12/12/2021 11:25

Ancient I honestly couldn’t care less if people up and down the country sat next to each other in front of a screen for a virtual quiz. Really can’t believe people do.

I doubt they will face any reprimand or worse as you’d want,

LadyWithLapdog · 12/12/2021 11:28

@MarshaBradyo I'd stop now if I were you. This thread isn't going well for your boy and you'll only raise more antipathy for the fucker whilst trying to defend him.

MarshaBradyo · 12/12/2021 11:29

Lol that’s funny

I think people are unhinged when it comes to the rules

Whoever it is.

Everyone wants to be strictly 2m apart at work or what?

MarshaBradyo · 12/12/2021 11:31

I don’t care if you have a dart board in your bedroom ‘for the fucker’ if it make you happy Lafy

Rant away.

Still think people are going crazy over a sodding virtual quiz.

Good for you. Are there any other laws you think it is OK to break? Do you think it is OK that other people have paid thousands in fines for doing the same sort of thing?

I hope his own MPs continue to turn against him, if they all grow a backbone it would be easily sorted.

LadyWithLapdog · 12/12/2021 11:39

@MarshaBradyo well it's obvious you don't give a shit and are just trolling.

MarshaBradyo · 12/12/2021 11:41

I was pretty good at complying actually. Listened to rules, have had x2 plus booster

But if people are at work together all day I’m pretty sure they’ve not kept 2m at all times.

It’s not something that I get worked up about

Other stuff maybe - but even then probably not really wrt Covid rules anymore

We had really OTT threads about people going out for non essentials and all that stuff last year. It was silly then but seems even more off now.

MarshaBradyo · 12/12/2021 11:42

Lol at trolling over a virtual quiz

Yes it’s really crucial stuff Confused

Ok the rant factor is off the scale…

OhWhyNot · 12/12/2021 11:45

I think many of us who have worked throughout know that the 2m distance doesn’t always happen (was impossible for is at work)

It needs to be something far more damning especially with what is going on with Covid

dayouttobangor · 12/12/2021 11:46

I hope the voters of North Staffordshire make their judgment on Thursday, as that may help hasten the end for Mr Johnson.

Forion · 12/12/2021 11:49

Anybody defending him is a fool. The man's a total liability and he's making a mockery of government, particularly during a two year long national crisis.

But, my enemy's enemy isn't always my friend.
MarshaBradyo · 12/12/2021 11:52

If he goes as you all want let’s see who’s in next

But it isn’t just the quiz is it? We had the Barnard Castle debacle, the lies about the decorating funds, the Johnson’s having guests over Christmas, the numerous parties being hinted at, the missed COBRA meetings. The lies followed by lies & more lies. Anyone defending all of that either has a vested interest or is a fool.
ElizabethG81 · 12/12/2021 12:00

@NotAshamedToFancyTheGrinch

More importantly, did anyone get the quiz question, “how many children does Boris have” correct?
That's one of those quiz questions that you have to ask for the answer to be to the nearest 10, and just give the point to whoever gets closest.
