Emilia, Sienna or Rosie?

I'm having a baby girl soon and I'm thinking of one of the following names. Which name do you prefer? I don't mind that these names are popular as my surname is quite unusual. Thanks 😊

Emilia Rose (Emmy for short)
Sienna Grace
Rosie Florence

Emilia, sorry!

@SerenTarot Based on your criteria Mary is timeless, Matilda is timeless, Eleanor is timeless, Elizabeth is timeless ...all names that have been used for centuries.

Yes I would say that all of those are timeless Confused I don't think you would be able to guess when someone with one of those names was born.

It’s the way it’s referred to as ‘chavvy’ that’s my issue not that people don’t like it.

Rosie

I have a Rosemary known as Rosie so Rosie gets my vote!

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 12/12/2021 03:29

All lovely names but have you considered Rosa or Amelie too?
I know loads of Emilias/Siennas/Rosies but have only ever met one Rosa & one Amelie.

Unfortunately sienna or 'si' savannah 'sav' have become the naughty girl names around here

Sienna is the new Sarah ?
Like Leila was the new Lisa
Jenson is the new Jason

Etc

Suzannah is lovely and classier.

Emilia Rose (Emmy for short) - Emilia is beautiful and by far the nicest on your list. I find Rose dull as a mn personally but it flows well. Emilia Florence would be my personal choice.
Sienna Grace - no. Sienna is boring now and very common where I live. Also gave as a mn is so overdone.
Rosie Florence - I don't like Rosie but I do like Rose as a first name.
Emilia still gets my vote.

Emilia gets my vote too.

There must be different name trends in different parts of the country. I've only ever heard of one Sienna (who is definitely not "chavvy") but at least 4 Amelies. I still like Rosie best from the options given.

Emilia.

Florence Rose is nice or Rose Florence. Rosie is sweet for a little girl but I'd want a more formal version as a grown up.

Iamanicepersonreally · 12/12/2021 18:00

Rosie is lovely

FireworkParrot · 12/12/2021 18:17

Emilia would just get constantly confused with Amelia.

I do like Sienna, it would probably be my choice.

Rosie is a lovely all-rounder name, I can't see many people disliking it.

Please drop the Florence. Sorry. My middle name is Florence and once other pupils at school found this out I was Florrie for the rest of my time there.

Sorry.

Sorry.

But this is clearly from another era. Florence is one of the most popular girls' names at the moment.
