DH is at works Christmas do. Baby is asleep in bed. Dog snoozing next to me.

I’ve got fish and chips and watching a crap film. It is DELIGHTFUL.

This will be me on Sunday and I can't wait! No dog though enjoy your peace and quiet

I will tomorrow night as DH is on his work xmas do

Planning an M&S butter chicken for one, some trash reality TV and plenty of snuggles with DDog

Yes. I'm reading, got a hot water bottle, boiled egg and soldiers, lovely rain soundtrack (which now i think of it is only masking the sound of the real rain..but the soundtrack is rain in a forest!).

Of course I live alone so this is not rare. But it is always delightful and after decades of shitty men, always appreciated!

Me! DH is at our work Christmas party - I was there earlier but left after the lunch as I’m 17 weeks pregnant and didn't fancy sitting around sipping water as everyone around me gets progressively more drunk 😂

I’ve cleaned the whole flat and now I'm going to watch Gogglebox. My only regret is that I’m so full from lunch, I don't want any dinner!

This is me most Fridays. I don’t live with DP and he works late and I always say it’s best to see each other Saturday… guessing that all has to change as I’m about to have a baby. He only lives down the road but neither of our places are big enough so I’ve decided to stay here to have the baby as I was getting too stressed about moving.

DH had his booster today and came home with a headache. Oh poor darling, sez I, why don't you have a bath and an early night; already planning my leftovers feast and film. He came down from the bath saying he felt much better and is now sitting on the sofa eating MY leftovers. Pat. Enjoy your me-nights!

Yes! The baby and the toddler are down for the night, I have gin, chocolate, posh olives and the TV all to myself whilst DH is on his works Christmas do! Bedtime seemed suspiciously easy so I am wondering which one of my darling children is going to ruin my bliss!

Meee. Husband took the boy to panto and ive had a couple of beers and long hot uninterrupted shower. Been bliss nobody talking to me.

DH is down the pub with his mates all wearing Christmas jumpers (they get a free drink for wearing one today) both kids finally in bed so I've just poured a nice cold Pinot Grigio and curry for one just been ordered while I watch gogglebox, lovely 😊

Last week. Dh took teen ds's to a football match and didn't get home till 11pm. It was so nice. I went to bed at 10pm.

Trying to convince myself I'm enjoying my solo night in but it's not working if I'm honest.
I live alone. Would normally see my long term fella on a Friday but he's....guess what ....on his works do ...

Not quite to myself as our son is in the other living room marking books but my husband is out at a colleagues’s retirement meal and our other son is in Cornwall to bring his girlfriend home from university for Christmas.
I haven’t put the TV on, I’m enjoying the silence.

I have the whole weekend. The. Whole. Weekend.

Husband is away in a boys weekend. Ok, the kids are still here but I sent them upstairs to watch a movie at half 6 so I’ve had my dinner, wrapped his Xmas presents and just watching the end of In The Heights. At which point I’m making a cup of tea and watching tv in bed.

Tomorrow we just have swimming lessons then It’ll be a lovely relaxed day (at least as relaxed as it can be with a 5 & 7 year old). More movies tomorrow night, possibly Tick,Tick, Boom since it’s also Lin Manuel Miranda, or some absolute trash on Christmas 24. Husband home sometime on Sunday.
