What “popular” tv shows could you never get into?

I remember reading all the hype on tiger king so thought I would give it a go. I could not get into it. At all. I think I gave it 3 episodes before I said fuck it and switched it off

The walking dead. Now annoyingly I really enjoyed this at first. Then the story went off from zombies and started focusing more on the “bad people” and I got fed up. I think the last episode I ever watched before I decided enough was enough was when Karl got bit.

Friends. I thought they were all so horrible to each other.

Sex and the City - Carrie was such a boring woman - obsessed with hooking her man and squealing about shoes.

Same. I really wanted to, I’ve watched the first half of S1 about three times but I just can’t get into it.

Motherland, virtually all the characters were so unlikeable.

I love kiefer Sutherland, I really do, but I just find it sooooo drawn out and just as you think something is finally going somewhere, it all goes pear shaped again! Was hoping to get into it but I've started season 3 and I'm throwing the towel in!!

Mad Men. It's all there on paper as something I'd love but I've watched the first few episodes about 3 times and just can't find the hook to drag me in.

House of Cards

Friends.
Normal People. It painted such a bleak and depressing picture of youth, and I found the endless sex scenes rather tedious.

Reality TV because it is exploitative and preys on people's fear and frailties.

Game of thrones

Downtown - felt like I was watching a spoof.

Normal People - could have condensed it into three episodes.

Fleabag. It had a few funny lines but it was just another riff on the tired trope of "woman looks to men to give her life meaning". In Jane Austen's time it was marriage, in teen comedies it's boyfriends, in Fleabag it's random sex.
