What “popular” tv shows could you never get into?

I remember reading all the hype on tiger king so thought I would give it a go. I could not get into it. At all. I think I gave it 3 episodes before I said fuck it and switched it off

The walking dead. Now annoyingly I really enjoyed this at first. Then the story went off from zombies and started focusing more on the “bad people” and I got fed up. I think the last episode I ever watched before I decided enough was enough was when Karl got bit.

The Sopranos. I was given the box set years ago and stuck with it for 4 or 5 seasons but then some new character appeared, who apparently was crucial to the story but he literally came from no where! A few episodes later, when I still didn’t even know what his name was, I gave up.

Most of them. I watched Shetland, that was ok. So, some crime dramas are things I can cope with.

Friends makes me feel sick, always, from the beginning. I can't believe it's still hanging on and there is still 'Friends' merch in shops as if people want it.

Another one for Breaking Bad, also Line of Duty.
Almost all reality shows and stuff like Strictly and Bake off.
Schitts Creek everyone raved about but I didn’t find it funny at all.
You was just boring, oh and the Crown. Felt like there was a lot of staring off into the distance and nothing much going on in a lot of episodes I saw.

Motherland. The main character is absolutely awful.

Ugh…Bridgerton. Wasted the start of my maternity leave watching that crap then immediately wished I hadn’t

I agree with most of these but I really liked Friends and the first few series of the Big Bang Theory.

I am always surprised when people say that they don't find these funny.

Sopranos. I just cannot be bothered. And that’s from someone who watched the whole of The Wire during lockdown.

The Office. I just find Ricky Gervais excruciating. Also anything with Rob Brydon (?), Alan Partridge, Keith Lemon, Bob Mortimer and Vic Reeves. Their comedy leaves me cold and I totally don't understand their appeal - they just seem so smug, and not at all funny.

Also, Breaking Bad and Game of Thrones.

I missed the first few episodes of both and never got around to watching them. Now, with their millions of episodes, they seem to daunting to start.

TBF this is not the spirit of the OP, asking if you tried watching something and couldn’t get into it. These are just things you never started watching.

You. I plodded through the first series but I found it boring. Same with Stranger Things.
After Life, I started watching but I hated it. And then I lost my long term partner and gave it a rewatch and absolutely loved it. I'm not usually a fan of Ricky Gervais either.
