Awake since 4am, refused to get out of bed. Tossing and turning.
Eventually started with a headache, so had to get up for painkillers.
This is caused by Xmas shopping stress. Struggling with what to get my kids for surprises. It’s really not worth it !

Not slept a wink all night. Probably because I was ill yesterday and slept during the day.

Just made myself some tea and toast.

I've been up for ages. Busy day yesterday so fell asleep on the couch really early yesterday evening.

One good thing though, I found out I can bring my booster vaccination dose forwards (tried but couldn't a few days ago) so now have my booster booked for Monday 😃

I'm awake. Got a CT scan today to see if the adrenal mass I have is stage 4 of the breast cancer I have. I think its probably not and will just be stage 3 and wish I could just get surgery done now but no date yet. Its likely to hit my son's birthday as well. Sad

They are teens and 20’s. They’ve got a main (expensive but small) present, I just need things to bulk it out and make it look like a pile of presents ! I’ll get there, I just can’t be bothered. I really can’t. I’d happily just give them money to save the stress, but there’s an expectation. And Xmas dinner is just a roast. I’ve really got to that stage where I just want to laze around all Xmas day and graze, not make a meal.

I am up. Dreadful night due to awful cough which has woken me up every 30 mins. I think I've had about 4 hrs broken sleep.

I'm toying with getting up now, working til 1ish then stopping. Or getting up for a lempsip and seeing if I can get another couple of hours

Up since 4:15 coughing thanks to stupid Covid. I’ve been ok up to now but it’s getting worse 😭.

Yeah, I’m awake but not up. Over-active brain licking in! Christmas plans, all the sodding wrapping I need to do, no decs up yet. Hoping the shopping is more or less complete now, will check when wrapping.
All the usual stuff die CHRISTMAS bit a bit more complicated this year.

Also worried about my older teen DC’s, both showing signs of relapsing poor mental health, kicked off by me having a cancer diagnosis 6 weeks ago. It’s rough for them.

Fella’s birthday on Sunday so need make a sneaky cake add he’s off work and staying over at mine all weekend to help out so need to hide it from him somehow?!!

Hope everyone gets their stuff sorted and is ok

@GoodnightGrandma we do a kind of running buffet now on Christmas Day and a big meal on Christmas Eve late afternoon. Kids don't really go for Christmas dinner type food, no one likes turkey so I do fancier Sunday dinner (pugs in blankets stuffing and bread sauce plus normal roast). Then cooked breakfast on Christmas Day and picky bits (urgh but I'm tired) throughout

I am up and laving for work soon but right now eating poach egg and fried mushrooms on toast , with my 1st coffee of the day

I am too. Woke at 3:30 with racing brain, pounding heart with predominantly work (but also just general life) stress and haven’t been able to get back to sleep.

Even a Calm sleep story didn’t work and now it’s only an hour til my alarm Sad

Wishing you rest when your body is ready and a reduction in stress. So much pressure this time of year

I'm up too, minor problems compared to others, but my back is really hurting.
I broke it a few years ago and although the bones healed it's left me with permanent pain, which I'm used to.
I have to be very careful with what I do and I wasn't careful enough.
It'll be fine in a few days.
My three cats are keeping me company and I'm going to have a slice of toast and marmite with a cup of tea.

I’m up, tail end of covid. Thinking about all the things o/s at work as I’ve been off for three weeks and my teenage dc who is going through a particularly vile stage 😬.

Me. It's my birthday today. Had a row with dd 2 last night just because she has been her most 14 lately and she went a bit too far last night with the attitude. I'm sure it will have made no difference and I will get grunted at this morning as usual which is a bit upsetting-teenage stuff but no less hurtful for it, even if I don't show it.
Im isolating with Covid and my bloody secret Santa present for the work party (that I had paid extra to be delivered yesterday to the office as I can't be there )
has gone astray so stressing about that.
And our house buyer is being weird and arsey as he told me yesterday afternoon he wanted to bring a surveyor round at 12 today which I had to say no to due to the aforementioned Covid. I don't have a good feeling about him at all.
Not shaping up to be a great day really. Will get up in an minute and have a celebratory cup of tea and try and cheer myself up!

Thanks all and so sorry you have a cancer diagnosis too TwoBigNoisyBoys, I have 2 mid teens and same as you they are both struggling especially my ASD boy who is almost mute now. Sad Just hoping they will start treating it soon, 4 weeks of testing so far and no sign of any treatment yet.

I'm up since 4am. My husband has tests today to determine if he has a possible adrenal tumour . And just lots of other worries. I hate Christmas, it's never easy.

I've been awake since 3 after only going to bed after midnight.
Today was a day for a long lie with my alarm set for 0930 but I'm too hot and just can't sleep. I've tossed and turned so much I've cricked my neck which is now absolute agony.
