I love the crazy conspiracy theories. So my favourite ones are that birds arent real and that Paul McCartney is dead and the man we see now is a lookalike.

The most recent one I heard was that JFK jr was going to appear in Dallas to support Trump and get him reinstated as President. Qanon supporters have met up at a few different dates but still no JFK jr🤷

I'm tired. I assumed "Dallas" as in the tv programme. JFK Jnr having a real life Bobby Ewing shower comeback.

Apologies if this has been said, I didn't read the whole thread.

One poster mentioned thinking 9/11 was an illusion. People have told me that before. I used to get upset because I lost a friend in there and one friend witnessed it. So when people literally think it was made for TV, I just remember my friend being buried and his parents being so broken....just how people can think that is beyond me.

But as ever, it's a spectrum. I saw an article from a few years back that's like the inverted triangle someone posted; it said "if they think Britney is being controlled, they're mentally ill".

I didn't pay attention to celeb stuff - do like her music - but those people
were right.

I had a spa package for my birthday last year that was done by a batshit Covid denying QANON believing conspiracy theorist beautician last summer who crapped on all day about all the various ‘truths’ she knows having conducted her own ‘research’. There were so many of the standard conspiracy theories but the one that I hadn’t heard before was when she confidently told me that it was no coincidence that Keeping up with the Kardashians had been cancelled now…apparently the kardashian’s aren’t even real…androids or holograms (her story changed halfway through) who are being used to control our minds but now that the New World Order have taken over under the guise of Covid measures the Kardashian’s are being deactivated

The, "we're living in a simulation" idea isnt exactly what I would call a conspiracy theory. No one is conspiring to hide/cover up/lie/manipulate.

It's just a scientific theory. One which is studied and discussed and considered. Physics has all sorts of theories which are just that, theories we cannot prove but people have been discussion and experimenting for 50 odd years.
The simulation idea is just another science theory which lots of people have studied or touched upon in their studies.

I heard a woman on the radio at lunch time very upset because she has just realised our future former PM has been lying . Where were you at that time, Frankieirish? She sounded like a middle aged woman or even older as am I so I am not mocking her on account of age anyway. But my mind has been boggling ever since how so many people are so oblivious and yet somehow survive.

Rhiannon thank you. I gather there are similar groups thinking 7/7 didn't happen. That's easier to deal with because I can say I was there.

I am honestly respectful of opinions, so for example "who did this" or "why did x happen" I can understand. But Finland doesn't exist and certain things only happened on TV, flat earth etc, I can't respect that.
