Yeah, there’s a pretty big difference between showing some skin in swimsuit pictures and a picture that looks some perv has taken a picture of a woman passed out under a bed with her arse out. I mean who is that meant to appeal to?

It’s not Madonna showing her arse that’s weird (that’s expected) it’s that the picture itself is just a really fucking weird thing to stage.

Also Christine Brinkley isn’t nearly as famous as Madonna so people aren’t really talking about her at all. And she looks a LOT better than Madonna.

Yes she’s had work but she’s clearly worked her arse off to look so toned and slim.

I'm not sure anyone should be exposing their bottom to the world even if it's a nice one. Not sure age comes into it, really. Older women have nice bottoms too (like me (sadly less so my face)) but it's better to keep them covered up.

But her face - oh dear. I can never understand why people have cosmetic surgery unless they've had an injury. You don't look younger, you just look like you've had work done. You can't argue with nature.

Christie Brinkley was always marketed as an all American pretty girl next door type and Madonna has cultivated an entirely different image.

Im just saying that people are on this thread taking her looks to pieces and saying she should act her age and I don't see why she should, just because that's what's expected of older women?

I'm also not saying that photo of her with her arse sucking out from under the bed isn't weird ( it is ) it's just to be expected from her and whilst threads like these keep discussing her and making her relevant she will keep doing it.

Good lord on a bicycle! I'm 64 and the thought of embarrassing my DS and DIL by behaving like that has me clenching my bottom in sheer horror.

I don't even wish I was as wrinkle free as her 'cos I earned every single one of them - laugh, frown or cry wrinkles - and my life shows in my face. She shows nothing - she's become an expressionless cringe fest.

Just as well we're not all the same eh, what a boring world that would be.

Fat is a feminist issue. As is cutting into face flesh and injecting, in pursuit of lost youth. Nothing talented about it but pandering to others’ expectations. Sad. How amazing if she just aged and we celebrated it. She still has her voice, costumes, brain, etc.

We all move through different stages too, speaking as a post menopausal woman, who has found value in other things beyond attracting men (my main interest when I was younger, I now realise, often to my own detriment). Liberating days now.

But if she wants a new face, perhaps it’s her choice. Or maybe it isn’t. Can’t be particularly nice having serious surgery, injectables, just to keep looking 30. As to giving no fucks. Seems like the complete opposite to me. She’s obsessed with her looks, as I realised when I saw the ruby wax interview with her aged late 30s. She bangs on about her looks, clearly worried about aging etc. So there’s a lot going on here!

I have been thinking about Madonna’s behaviour since the trainwreck Jimmy Fallon show interview where she was appeared to be somewhat “sedated” and draped herself all over the desk, flashing her arse, and demanding to be spanked - much to the mortification of the interviewer. Then she did the photo shoot emulating Marilyn Monroe’s death scene on the bed (and under it, it would seem…).
She appears to be somewhat unhinged and inappropriate, but I suspect she’s riding the “Britney Train” in a desperate attempt to prove that she’s still relevant. (Hip with the kids?) Nothing she has ever done has ever been spontaneous.

Madonna has always challenged female roles and sexuality, what's wrong with an older woman showing off her sexuality.
Also, if I had the money might be tempted to get my face done, plenty with less money getting botox (not to my taste) but its their body and their choice.

Her face is definitely just that “Hollywood” filter applied - lots of people do it on Instagram and it’s really obvious. I doubt that’s what she looks like in real life!

I think Madonna would be very upset if everyone didn't comment on her appearance, that's presumably why she released these 'racy' (not sexy at all) photos! It's not like she was intrusively papped at Walmart or anything.

It’s filters people. If you saw her in the flesh she wouldn’t look like that. Sadly, she’s probably look scarier as the truth of lots of cosmetic surgeries on the face is that nobody looks good. A discreet tweak here and there possibly. Madonna’s level, it just looks like surgery face. Oh well, I don’t know why anyone is shocked. It’s Madonna. She’s always done this. None of our business really. Seems to make her happy, who am I to say otherwise?

It's art isn't it? I don't think she needs to look like Madonna, she is just modelling in the picture to create a representation of what ever message it is she wants to get across.

Not my cup of tea. Cheap, easy and obvious, and lacks imagination.
