I can’t fathom what I’m seeing. She has literally got a new face? It’s hurting my head

Her Instagram feed is very odd, still desperate to shock.

I am not puzzled at all by what Madonna is trying to achieve. She wants to look young for as long as possible and doesn't want to grow old gracefully. It is not her job to be an "advocate for older women", she is her own person and does whatever she likes.

I for one would love to know how she manages to look like this in her 60s. Most celebrities have work done but hers is something else.

It's face tuning and filtering apps on top of fillers and botox. Look at her hands in most photos, she doesn't bother filtering/smoothing/removing blemishes from them, they look like real hands unlike her face.

In unfiltered pics, it’s even more obvious how much work she’s had done.

I absolutely hate those cheek implants that every celeb gets. They ruin their face.

She’s always had final control over her photos - according to a photographer I once knew, she had the tightest photography contracts and she had complete sign off over any image that was put out into the public domain (this was in the 90s). They were always heavily filtered and adjusted.

None of this surprises me in the slightest. And I think her face actually looks like her old one!

I’m not a fan of plastic surgery/Photoshop at all, but this is hardly unexpected of an ageing Madonna is it?!

I don't understand what age has to do with anything really. Shouldn't we be trying to get rid of the stigma that women above a certain age can't be sexually provocative or attractive?

Just to add, I wouldn't pose like that at any stage of my life but shouldn't we be saying 'good for her'?

But isn’t the point that a lot of these photos aren’t alluring, they’re just weird. The one where she’s put her tights on then got stuck under the bed? That’s not a good look for anyone regardless off age.

I presume it’s much the same process that turns Ralph Fiennes into Voldemort.

It's just fillers Botox and filters. No cheek implants.

She looks awful to me but with all her money she must be happy else she'd change it so fair enough.

I was brought up short by these pictures recently.... the filtered ones are bananas. She looks like a long-list relation of herself. The unfiltered one less so, but she would have looked so much better if she had just aged gracefully.

Good lord on a bicycle! I'm 64 and the thought of embarrassing my DS and DIL by behaving like that has me clenching my bottom in sheer horror.

I don't even wish I was as wrinkle free as her 'cos I earned every single one of them - laugh, frown or cry wrinkles - and my life shows in my face. She shows nothing - she's become an expressionless cringe fest.

I don't have a problem with this. Plenty of women in their 20's, 30's out there having loads of fillers. She's no different. Just older.

It’s sad whatever age imho. I hate the ‘love island’ look - much prefer seeing a variety of faces about and what message does it give to teens who may not fit the ‘ideal’. Just yuck all round. Madonna just looks ridiculous now, she was a beautiful woman in her day, could be a naturally beautiful older woman but has succumbed to own ego. Inside she's still 63, as are her hands probably!!

I don't like talking about women's looks but I can't help yo think how it must feel to have your mother change her face. And what sort of inner torment you must have to want to get all that work done - even if it's done bit by bit. She doesn't need to earn any money now so it's not because she's in the limelight. She's only there when she chose to be.

I imagine seeing herself look like that makes her happy though (I hope so anyway!). It's a shame for fans who found her own face beautiful, but I guess she's the one who sees it in the mirror every day.

Honestly? I’m planning eye bag surgery in a couple of years - haven’t thought about my children’s feeling for a microsecond

Photos wise, that's just her, she's always taken racy pictures, though at her age she should consider her kids and grandkids in the future as it's quite cringe. She looks amazing but much of it is surgery, I saw a documentary about her face dropping and cheekbones drastically changing due to the work she's had done and she can't keep going with it, which is sad as she's likely been under the knife again and taken some photos before it all goes south again. I love Madonna, but I guess she was always going to grow old disgracefully 😆

Why should she "grow old gracefully"? If she is happy, then why aren't we celebrating a woman who clearly doesn't give a fuck about what she should be doing/not doing (and has always done stuff like this)

The marvellous thing about Madonna is that she gives zero fucks - and always has - about what other people think. You may not like how she looks, but she does. Good for her I say. Not everyone has to "age gracefully".

Her Mother died when she was 6, she has major issues I suspect around mortality/ ageing

My mum is the same although not quite as successful as oor madge

I’m not against plastic surgery but surely the point of it is to be a better / younger looking version of yourself. Madonna doesn’t look remotely like herself.
She does look like a Kardashian. I assume they use the same surgeon and face tuning apps.
Has she lost an earring under the bed maybe? Other glasses?
