Anyone else get their nails done?

Do you have acrylics or gels?
What do you tend to get & what shape?

I get acrylics, coffin shaped and gel polish.

My family own a salon so I get all my treatments for free; I had a look at the price list the other day and it made my eyes water! If I didn’t get it all for free I don’t think I’d get my nails done as much.

I'm on my second round. Acrylics, squoval, not long at all. Right now they're in a very dark burgundy gel.

It's astonishing having gorgeous nails every day! My own nails are quite breaky and short, so this is quite a luxury.

I get my own nails done with nail polish.

I get gel polish with builder gel put on my own nails.
I get them pointy and just a plain colour; usually red.

Get them down every 2 weeks and get my toes and eyebrows done on alternate weeks.

Gel extensions. I usually get French. Natural shape. Shaped so they are quite short. Sometimes colour eg coral in the summer and I've a deep reddish colour at the moment.

I used to get a gel polish before covid. It lasted 2-3 weeks.
I haven’t gone back, and don’t miss them at all

Gel Builder...much stronger than the usual gel.
Always square because i don't really like my nails too long.

BIAB - which is a gel builder. Every three weeks. Sometimes plain, sometimes a bit of nail art. Currently burgundy with a bit of marbling on two nails.

I love having them done.

Currently oval acrylics with blush pink gel. Will go back in a week or so and get something else, thinking of just getting a really good manicure on my natural nails.

Have my own gel kit so just do them at home. The amount I have saved has been astronomical.

I've recently gone from long round acrylics (usually a pinky nude gel over) to really short square acrylics, currently pinky nude but I'll go dark gel over next time.

I have coffin shaped acrylics, they are quite long and I always get a bold colour. Currently they are teal. I'll get something sparkly for Christmas when I go at the start of December

Not a fan of long and pointy so I have short squoval, usually a natural/nude ombre but have gone a very dark burgundy for winter, looks almost black

I've now had 2 lots of gels and never again, my nails are rubbish now and have gone from lovely oval shaped nails to shapeless broken short ones.

Always have Shellac over my natural nails. Every two weeks. Occasionally take a break for a month or so, and treat them with Nailtique Formula 2.

I have them shortish, squoval and usually a deep wine, grey or navy. Cannot bear any kind of nail art or glitter or overt shaping.

Builder gel as I never seem to be able to keep normal gel on. Usually in a nude or neutral colour but got these done yesterday for my holiday next week!

I get builder gel and my nails aren't too long. I just had them done this morning.

Yes, usually gel. Having mine done tomorrow after too long a gap this time. Mine are very short this time. Will get them done very dark red or burgundy. Feet at same time.

Me too! I was having issues with them peeling at sides, but now use builder gel as a base instead of regular base coat and they last at least 2 weeks

Acrylics, almond, squoval or coffin. Usually hot pink/baby pink/red/grey/black/coral (not all at the same time.

I’ve removed my most recent set as one broke (they were getting ready for a replacement) but now we’re isolating andI feel NAKED!!

And I won’t be able to type on Monday either!

Squoval shape, quite short and gel. It lasts between 3-4 weeks on me. The salon uses CND and gel ish and gel ish definitely lasts longer on my nails. I have an at home gel kit too but I can’t give myself a proper manicure, it just never looks as good!

I would say be careful though, as I don’t think it’s the best thing for your nails, when I get a new layer on they feel so thick but I look at them after the old gel has been removed and they look quite weak.

I get gel nails on my natural nails. I think my shape is called squarval. It’s half square and half oval. Haha looks lovely I promise.

Got mine done two days ago - not to everyone's taste but I'm 22 and like these kind of designs 🤣

These are my beautiful Christmas nails from last year - the snowflakes were painted on with such precision. They made me really happy at the time; we were going back into full lockdown and I needed some joy
