I’m going to get up on Sunday morning before everyone else, as per usual but this Sunday, I’m want to make a big cup of coffee and enjoy a Xmas movie.
Any recommendations?

It's a Wonderful Life.

laurenGame · 13/11/2021 05:26

Elf
Love actually

over2021 · 13/11/2021 05:31

Anything Hallmark channel.

My favourite thing to do when I'm up alone is put the tv fireplace on Netflix and read with a cuppa- feels Xmassy!

Chimchar · 13/11/2021 05:33

The Holiday 😊
Home Alone 2

Love Actually

Pickuptruck · 13/11/2021 05:49

i second It's a wonderful Life

Liverbird77 · 13/11/2021 06:08

The Christmas Card. I loved this cheesefest from the first time I saw it.

As a bonus, it stars Alice Evans so it'll give her a boost hopefully!

MrsDThomas · 13/11/2021 07:41

Yep. Sky 325 and 326 are my morning treat. Im alone all day today and intend to binge.

GoodnightGrandma · 13/11/2021 07:43

The Holiday

MrsDThaskala · 13/11/2021 08:00

Yes was going to ask if you have sky. The 24 hour Christmas movie channel is brilliant! Lol! Perfect to just chill out and snuggle. My dd was 6 yrs old when she said to me "mummy, when I want to get married I'm going to go to the ice-skating rink". It then clicked that on all the Christmas movies we had watched they always had outdoor ice-skating and fall in love! Lol

BlurpBlorp · 13/11/2021 08:05

What a lovely plan OP 😊 reminds me I want to try a 'hot chocolate station' on my kitchen counter this year! I agree that It's a Wonderful Life is probably the best option especially as it has Sunday morning movie vibes. And it's still a while to go until Christmas so personally, I wouldn't break out Elf or Home Alone just yet. National Lampoon is always great though x

HoseMeDownWithHolyWater · 13/11/2021 08:10

While You Were Sleeping.

My five year old and I are going to get into his bed and watch Home Alone tonight. I can't bloody wait.

PlinkPlankPlunk · 13/11/2021 08:30

This is my plan for this afternoon!

I’m not going to watch one of the “main” Christmas films (too early for that) but I’ve promised DD we’ll sit and look at Christmas shopping and various arrangements we need to make with a movie on - preferably something set in a nameless European principality, with a snowy chateau and a slightly evil Count at a glittering ball. If there’s an orphaned child in there too, then so much the better…

CloseYourEyesAndSee · 13/11/2021 08:33

I watched the holiday (again) last week. Love it.

AreYouRightThereSkippy · 13/11/2021 08:34

Noelle! I'm watching it now. I mean, it's for children, but I still love it.

Charliealphatangorara · 13/11/2021 08:40

Home alone 2
Last Christmas
Daddys home 2

Love hard- proper predictable Christmas movie plot about a girl who meets someone on a dating ap and surprises him in his home town. Easy viewing and I enjoyed it. It's on Netflix.

TheQuest · 13/11/2021 08:42

Thanks for the suggestions. I do have the sky channels. I’ll check out the schedule for tomorrow morning and see if there’s anything appealing.
I’ve never seen ‘it’s a wonderful life’ but it seems I should wait until December for that

@MrsDThaskala that is hilarious Grin what a cute and lovely idea.

I love the fireplace!! But I can't work out how to set it on repeat - is there any chance you know please?!
Hodl · 13/11/2021 08:50

We always watch It's a Wonderful Life on Christmas Eve once the DC have gone to bed. It's a tradition here, it makes me cry no matter how many times I've seen it but it's so uplifting.

Cheesy films :
Love Actually
Elf
Home Alone
Jingle all the way
The Snowman
Jack Frost

Enjoy!!

Whatwouldnanado · 13/11/2021 08:57

Holiday Inn if you like musicals.

Booksandwine80 · 13/11/2021 08:59

You’ve just inspired me to put on Elf! Smile

devildeepbluesea · 13/11/2021 09:00

Anyone else watched the three Christmas Prince movies on Netflix? Really, really cheesy, but all Christmassy. DD and I did them again this week 😁

furbabymama87 · 13/11/2021 09:33

I watched Father Christmas is Back on Netflix the other day. It's got Liz Hurley in it. I thought it was cheesy but good. I liked it.

choosername1234 · 13/11/2021 09:37

Love Hard on Netflix, new cheesy Christmas film

doadeer · 13/11/2021 09:39

mum2jakie · 13/11/2021 09:39
