What is happening in your home this evening?

We are having pizza and strictly night. I've made pizza dough and everyone can add their own toppings to suit (all prepped and ready). I'm currently enjoying a quiet glass of wine, DD 16 is due home soon, DH is pottering about and ds 14 with ASD is watching Ice Age for the 1 millionth time.
We will probably watch a movie after strictly - ds won't join us for long but he never does!
The curtains are drawn and I can hear the rain outside but I feel happy and cosy!
How about your house?

DS (7) having a friend over for a sleepover. DS is autistic and not great at making eye contact or responding to conversation with kids. I'm doing a lot of hovering to make sure he remember to talk to her. Fortunately they appear to be content eating popcorn and watching minions.

Just had a great sourdough pizza dinner with chocolate tartfufo for dinnner. Going to curl up with a good book, fireworkds outside

Kids are in bed, I have a glass of wine in hand, Curry is in the oven and we’re about to watch last nights last leg.

I too would like to see the sparkly red shoes.

About to watch carpetbagger and exploring abandoned houses on youtube. My husband has just been out late shopping and is on his way home and bringing me home a Mcflurry and a donut whilst the kids are watching youtube kids on the laptop.

Think I will catch up on the last episode of Angela black while the kids are in bed later.

Just put a honey pecan pie in the oven. 6 people for dinner (!) but all triple vaccinated and not social animals. No clue what DH is cooking. But i see lots of cheese and booze 😍

Just got back from a firework show with two sons plus girlfriend, really enjoyed it, we picked up some KFC on the way home.

I’ve been packing tonight for my first overseas trip in almost two years and I’m so excited about seeing my dad and my brother I’ve given up on trying to sleep. Tomorrow can’t come soon enough.

Mentally kicking myself as I somehow totally forgot to take DD to a party this afternoon. We actually had a nice afternoon baking and playing cards but am mortified about forgetting it nonetheless. She's getting ready for bed now then I'm going to pour a large glass of wine, eat Montezuma chocolate and watch something on Netflix

I love these threads with little snapshots of everyone's lives.
We had tea early, sausages and jacket potatoes, and tried going out to a firework display. I say tried because we got there, weather was awful and getting worse. DH, DS6, DD5months in sling and I were getting soaked, DD2 was quite happy in buggy with rain cover over but not convinced she could see anythingand she dropped off to sleep in the end! So we decided to come home again without seeing a single firework, DS was quite happy though as we got him a light up stick thing. Now DD2 is asleep in bed, DS has just gone after some hot chocolate and a chapter of 'How To Train Your Dragon' and baby DD is snoozing on me, am going to attempt to put her down. Very disturbed night last night with baby and older DD so DH and I are both knackered, so I suspect we'll be off to bed soon, we're an exciting house

DP and I are on an overnight. We’ve been out for burgers for tea and now we’re back at the hotel with cakes from the 24 hour bakery and a pick & mix each. We’re watching rubbish tv and scrolling on our phones. Pure bliss

Kids are asleep, went swimming and had dinner out with family so they were exhausted when we got home. Now on the couch watching random YouTube vlogs and on MN!

The teens hogged the tv. I went in my bedroom to exercise. Then showered.

Now cosy in bed. Teens are pottering in their room taking make up off etc.

I went and got myself a nice prawn chow mein from the chinese and then had a nice bath. Hes decided to sleep downstairs on the sofa!! So weird. I dont know whats wrong with him.
