We are having pizza and strictly night. I've made pizza dough and everyone can add their own toppings to suit (all prepped and ready). I'm currently enjoying a quiet glass of wine, DD 16 is due home soon, DH is pottering about and ds 14 with ASD is watching Ice Age for the 1 millionth time.
We will probably watch a movie after strictly - ds won't join us for long but he never does!
The curtains are drawn and I can hear the rain outside but I feel happy and cosy!

Tonight I'm home alone. Right now I have some lamps on, curtain closed to block out the firework noise and am watching NCIS with the dog snoring on my lap.
I'll watch this weeks bake off then probably some film or other while crocheting - working on a Christmas cushion for my auntie.

Unsure what to eat though. I fancy Chinese but don't want to order it for one.

We have our gorgeous 8 month old granddaughter staying the night. I have just done bath & bedtime routine. Dh is cooking our dinner then i need to take dogs out and sterilise bottles. An early night for me as she usually wakes around 6am!

Just about to get togged up to go to NDN's bonfire party.

I happen to know they're serving mulled wine, hot chocolate or soup on arrival, followed by fireworks, huge bonfire, music and BBQ.

Looking forward to it, though I love a Saturday night in with Strictly.

Noisy as hell outside with fireworks even though it's absolutely filthy weather! I've got the curtains on and all the leftovers from last nights bonfire party are warming in the oven. I'll stick it all on big serving plates in the living room and it's help yourself to dinner. Youngest DD is in the bath, 2yo is watching Snail and the Whale for the hundredth time but I'll be putting something on we can all watch together in a bit.

I've just made a tasty apero of tomato, olives and artichoke, and I'll pour a G&T in a minute.
After dinner I've got some family admin to finish off, then I might do some on line shopping as my lovely DIL has got a birthday soon.

The weather here is dreadful, pouring with rain and windy, so it's no hardship to stay cosy inside.

Chill out day today - taken the dogs and some of the kids to the woods for a walk and just had a lovely steak dinner that DH cooked

DD1 now gone out for evening with her boyf
DD2 and DD3 are going to watch greys anatomy for millionth time in one of their rooms
DS4 is gaming in room and might join us later to watch a film
DD5 is playing with her train set and books and I'll take her for bath and bed in a bit

Then we'll watch a film

Where are all these parties?! Dead boring down my way (jealous)

Just scoffed a takeaway (pattern emerging here anyone?) and will probably do some crafting later. Exciting life!

I am studying (and peering at mumsnet every now and again) as I have my master dissertation to get in before Christmas. DH is eating dinner with DS (16 months) in the dining room while they listen to the radio. DS will have a bath and then have some playtime before bed, all while I keep studying. Then I'll put DS to bed, and DH and I will settle down with chocolate and the new season of Narcos Mexico!

Early dinner was veggie lasagna in the slow cooker. Pilates this morning followed by a couple of hours selling poppies has caused a fibro flare so I’m in bed with a glass of wine. Everyone else on devices etc. Boiler broken so house is cold.

Going out out. Had my make up done and everything - so looking forward to it :)

ooh my beautiful red sparkly salsa shoes arrived earlier!
They are the most comfortable shoes with heels (2" Cuban) that I have ever owned!

so I'm wearing pyjamas, an old tatty t-shirt and Dorothy shoes! I don't want to take them off!🤣

Teenage daughter is staying at her friend's until tomorrow so I'll be lying on the sofa watching Strictly shortly, with Twitter open on my phone so I can read and possibly comment on other people's opinions of the dances while the annoying training videos are running,
After that there's a french film on BBC 4 at 9, or else I'll catch up on a korean drama I'm following. All this is assuming I don't nod off !

This afternoon I dropped DS to his karate lesson, then did the weekly shop and picked him up. Washed school uniforms. DD has pottered about all day. I made bacon, cheese & spinach quesadillas for dinner and have poured myself a G&T waiting for strictly. The kids are arguing about Marvel 🙄

I'm just having a cup of tea and browsing MN, DD is in the shower. I can hear DS1 playing guitar and DS2 is probably glued to his laptop. I might go and get in to bed and watch a film in a minute. There's a new one with Denzel in that looks good.

I have a panicky dog and a barky dog as next door have been letting off some fireworks. I was out this afternoon and got back to a cold house as the boiler had locked out. Managed to reset it and now have every carbon fuel burning appliance going, which is ironic as my partner is up in Glasgow working with police to try and get the climate change protestors to leave the park and go home.
I have crisps and gin for later so we will all be fine x

Got pizza takeaway and hoping DC2 will sleep soon so we can build the Kallax inserts we got today.

I need to finish sewing up a knitted jumper too.

Will be drinking whisky and coke!

I am distracting myself from panic and procrastinating from tidying up. Then bath and bedtime for DC, then probably more sad procrastination for me until I give up and go to bed in the early hours. I don’t know what I am going to do about dinner. We went out for lunch so I am not hungry now, but probably won’t be bothered or able to make a decision just for myself later.

I'm trying out my new lavender melt, and pondering whether to walk up the hill to watch the fireworks in the rain.

ohh I want to see your jumper. haven't knitted in ages, just been contemplating I should finish off the toes on the second sock of a pair I started a year ago.
The first sock is done, it'd be nice to wear them

Sitting with a glass of fizz waiting for strictly to start. Both DS are upstairs, one heading out and one staying in doing uni work. Hub watching the wire. Dinner was roast as I’m working tom so we had it today. Bath later then cosying in for a nights sleep undisturbed by fireworks hopefully !

Im packing for a trip to Paris tomorrow! Obviously getting in the spirit with a glass of wine to help
