Interested to know who people are charitably giving to these days and why.
I’ve always done a regular small DD donation to MSF after having my baby. It was horrific and I felt dreadful for women who weren’t safety in the first world like I was.
I give an odd bit for Palestine every year because I’m “angry” .
I love dogs and have had a couple of rescue dogs until recently. I now give a bit for a dogs charity that neuters dogs in Europe because it’s better than rehoming what are essentially feral dogs.
I do my local schools lottery because they need funds, as do I.

Interested to see MN trends.

I don't donate money but I do like to give time to help fundraisers or events locally if I can.

RNLI and Cancer research. Not a lot but all with gift aid

Good quality donations to the local shop for our Children’s Hospice, plus gift aid..

One friend’s fundraiser a month - I try to keep a good variety for those.

Check your local charities and donate to them as the big ones get enough money. In my local area there are a few SEND, MH, homeless and food banks that I support. These smaller charities always work to extremely small budgets & tiny grants l. They can't always afford to spend money on publicity raising media campaigns. So seek those out and they'll be grateful for anything you give them.

I give local to our cash for kids and donate food and cash to the food bank.

I change it up every now and then, but in the last year I gave to a local LBGTQ aging/elderly non-profit, to a former co-worker who set up a GoFundme due to a house fire, a local sex trafficking non-profit.

It varies, but it's usually local - not these big groups with the big overheard expenses.

I donate monthly to NSPCA .

And also the homeless lady who sits outside my local Tesco,.

PoohTiggerEeyoretoo · 08/11/2021 03:31

I'm on disability benefits so not every month but occasional donations to Diabetes UK and RNIB.

I donate to Lendwithcare, it helps others to help themselves and I get all/most of my money back that I can then help someone else with. I don't like giving to charity when I have no idea where my money is going. So many charities are now just big businesses IMO with few morals, they'll happily hound you to get your money no matter if you're elderly, poor or disabled.
