What did Paul Simon and Julio do down by the school yard that was so bad??

Did Richard Marx actually leave her by the river safe and sound?

What other mysteries do you need solved?

Well, who did start the fire then?

bordermidgebite · 02/11/2021 07:54

Ok then

Where are Donald's trousers ?

BruceAndNosh · 02/11/2021 07:59

How long HAS this been going on?

(and why are there so many questions in songs?)

FlouncingBabooshka · 02/11/2021 08:00

Does anyone know, what are all these problems Jay-Z has?

I mean, he mentions a few but there must be at least 80 unaccounted for.

There’s only one thing we can definitively rule out.

Sundancerintherain · 02/11/2021 08:02

@Fernando072020 St Cecilia is the patron saint of music and the song is about the process of songwriting ( according to my former musician DDad)

@Honeyroar

This one has bugged me for years…

Why did he sleep in a separate room on their honeymoon?

I assumed he couldn't perform on the wedding night. And she says at the end "love me - like you tried before" !
IAcceptSpookies · 02/11/2021 08:16

Why did he sleep in a separate room on their honeymoon? God yes, ,this bugs the heck out of me!

Also, what became of the monkey monkey monkey monkey monkey monkey monkey?

MaryLamb · 02/11/2021 08:19

Did she still love him tomorrow?

bordermidgebite · 02/11/2021 08:22

Is a dream a lie if it don't come true or is it something worse ?

bordermidgebite · 02/11/2021 08:23

He tried snd she rejected him and now regrets it

MrsMoastyToasty · 02/11/2021 08:25

Are friends electric?

VienneseWhirligig · 02/11/2021 08:26

If this ain't love, why does it feel so good?

Did he just politely say goodnight to Hazel O'Connor, or did he stay, after she went to the trouble of making him a coffee?

Andante57 · 02/11/2021 08:27

And why did the fork run away with the spoon?

I thought the dish ran away with the spoon.
Or have I got the wrong end of the stick completely?

ninnynonny · 02/11/2021 08:33

Did your mother know?

ninnynonny · 02/11/2021 08:34

Oh I love that Hazel O Connor song!

@TeaWithTwoCubes2

Who was the Last of The Famous International Playboys?

My girl, my girl, don't lie to him tell him where did you sleep last night?

What can Phil Collins feel coming in the air tonight? Why is whatever is so dramatic that it requires that drum?

Who are you on call for, Kings of Leon?

Could who be loved, Bob Marley?

@FlouncingBabooshka Grin yay, somebody gets it!

We end up saying this constantly in my house, God bless Haircut 100.

Seadragonusgiganticusmaximus · 02/11/2021 08:57

Where was the strange little girl going?

And also, did she know where she could be going?

notthemum · 02/11/2021 09:02

Snoring.
FoxgloveSummers · 02/11/2021 09:11

It’s definitely implied that he “tried” to have sex with her on the honeymoon but I don’t think there’s any reason to think the singer rejected him! I always assumed impotence or possibly him realising (slightly belatedly) that he was gay. There must have been astronomical numbers of gay men marrying women back then (even more than now).

FoxgloveSummers · 02/11/2021 09:13

My mum always said it was probably a baby they threw off the bridge. People do conceal pregnancies!

UnitedRoad · 02/11/2021 09:16

In the Sinead O’Connor version of the Billy Joe song in the bit where it says about someone who looked a lot like the singer and Billy Joe throwing something off the Tallahatchee bridge (sp) there’s the faint sound of a baby crying.

That song gives me goosebumps

BorisKilledMyHusband · 02/11/2021 09:19

Who left the cake out in the rain?
And what was the recipe?

UnitedRoad · 02/11/2021 09:21

@BorisKilledMyHusband

Who left the cake out in the rain? And what was the recipe?
I don’t know but it was someone irresponsible because she took ages making that, and she didn’t even use a recipe.

To be honest my Nan never used a recipe or scales, and leaving her rock cakes out in the rain might have made them easier to eat.
