Is this a good gift for 30 year old?

Gift for daughter in law. I can't tell if this is something a young woman would like. Any opinions?

Really depends on her style. Does she tend to wear formal tops and jeans that she could wear this over? Or is she hippy/boho in style? If yes to either of those then possibly - but I’m 32 and personally think it is frumpy and hideous.

I hope she likes it OP. I note that pretty much everyone said don't unless it's her style (which you haven't suggested if you know that it is?) but you've still bought it 😅 When my MiL gifts me summer wear for Christmas it makes it a bit obvious that she's basically gone sale shopping for me to get whatever is on the best reduction rather than what I'd actually wear, but as I said i hope the kimono is your daughter in law's style and that she likes it.

If she likes a hippie/boho vibe, definitely

Oh no! That's what I've done. Maybe not such a good idea after all

Personally it's risky ever buying anyone clothing without them specifically asking for it. I'd much rather a voucher where I can choose something for myself, rather than something that I will have to pretend to like then have sit in the wardrobe forever or until I do a charity shop clear out. It doesn't show lack of thought if it's for a shop she really likes or a favorite restaurant.

She's not a 'yoof'. She's a woman in her 30's.

After all that I returned it
