What did you think would be more glamorous or impressive than it was?

As a kid I thought that being an actor would be fun and exciting and I'm sure it has its moments but watching the behind the scenes videos much of it looks miserable and dull. Especially action movies where they're required to get drenched with every substance known to man and have explosions and fire going off around them.

What didn't live up to expectations for you?

Some posh hotels. The Lowry in Manchester in particular. It’s no better than a premier inn.

Cakes in tea shops. I can bake better myself.

Bali - dirty, over crowded and the pavements are deadly (pot holes everywhere)
Meeting famous people - they're always much scruffier and shorter in real life than on screen
Barcelona - full of hen and stag dos

The Mona Lisa - it's tiny.
The Little Mermaid in Copenhagen - also tiny.
Sydney Opera House was underwhelming, maybe I expected too much.

New York. I thought it was very dirty and run down in many places.

Yep to business travel.

Also having a rich boyfriend. The novelty quickly wore off and I was bored by his lifestyle — and slightly appalled at his disregard for his possessions, like his computer that cost the equivalent of a couple of months of my salary, and which he rather casually lost.

The main shopping area in Gibraltar. It's just full of fag, perfume and booze shops

The Giant's Causeway, which is tiny.

But I think the disappointment was my fault, and due to not paying enough attention to the apostrophe. In my head I was expecting it to be a Giant Causeway.

Whereas, an actual giant would be, what, maybe eight feet tall? - so wouldn't require a causeway of particular magnitude.
