A video of her doing a tour of her house for Architectural Digest. A bit 'bling' to say the least.

cold and dull

no personality at all

MissBattleaxe · 15/10/2021 21:08

I find ownership of such a house downright obscene when people are using food banks. There is nothing I admire about a woman spending her father's money on ostentation.

OompaLumpaLabrador · 15/10/2021 21:10

A specialist tradesman who did some work for us said she was a very slow and reluctant bill payer. Her sister’s staff contacted him to warn him about her.

Cofifeefee · 15/10/2021 21:11

I think it's fabulous.

Imagine the MN thread - my new partner is moving into my house, should he pay rent?

Cries of cocklodger abound.

KitchenKrisis · 15/10/2021 21:17

It's such a shame the original interiors were ruined. You can't design up the atmosphere and feeling those Georgian interiors give.
Why not build a new build rather than massacre a beautiful old property and "hopperise" it.

Xenia · 15/10/2021 21:19

Interesting. They seem to love it. It is not my style but they have done it very well. The most surprising thing to me was how they speak. Presumably she had all the education money could buy, but still uses the wrong words, incorrect grammar. It was fascinating to see it.

Dahliadelight · 15/10/2021 21:22

No taste.

Classica · 15/10/2021 21:23

Oh she's the sister who had that very peculiar first husband.

The house looks like what I imagine a 6 star Dubai hotel would look like.

I don't know why people that wealthy want to advertise the fact that they're so ultra loaded. I can imagine burglar gangs making a wish-list of things to nick.

MalteseBubs · 15/10/2021 21:26

Grin That she's seemingly not embarrassed by the Towie Estate Agent fiance.

BalladOfBarryAndFreda · 15/10/2021 21:26

It’s not to my taste.

I did LOL at her saying that she REALLY uses every room in the 14 bed mega mansion because she has 4 kids Grin. As if they couldn’t do with a smaller space with that ENORMOUS brood. How does she think mere mortals house their children?!

aprilshowers2015 · 15/10/2021 21:27

Oh that would be brilliant. "No mortgage but upkeep for fish tank and spa would be appreciated". I liked the house a lot more than I thought I would. I wish she'd done a tour of the Spelling Mansion though... especially the present wrapping room.

I find him a bit of a strange character. He's very quick with "our children, our houses" etc. I suppose they don't see much of their father and maybe recruiting maids is more lucrative than I think.

MrsColon · 15/10/2021 21:28

I'd be scared to be alone there, it's too big! And how would you find each other (as a married/committed couple) with so many rooms?

HappyTimeTunnelDinosaur · 15/10/2021 21:31

Well I suppose it suits her lifestyle and it obviously does have a lovely amount of space. I wouldn't swap my lovely cosy cottage for it though!

peaceanddove · 15/10/2021 21:32

Utterly souless.

TableFlowerss · 15/10/2021 21:38

I’d move there in a heartbeat

MrsIPFreely · 15/10/2021 21:38

House is not to my taste but it's pretty spectacular. I saw them do an interview during the Covid lockdown and she came across really well. They seem like nice people.

immersivereader · 15/10/2021 21:39

Distasteful on her behalf

Oblomov21 · 15/10/2021 21:40

I can't grasp what is was like before. Limited market for re-sale though.

toocold54 · 15/10/2021 21:43

I think it’s lovely but if I had that sort of money I’d be worried about people breaking in by advertising it. I suppose they have a lot of security though.

Classica · 15/10/2021 21:44

Her fella is all 'this is the biggest basement in London/this is the biggest garden in London/this diamond toilet is the most valuable toilet in the world.' We get it, you're facking loaded!

The family kitchen is quite small and dingy I thought. The soft play area was a bit dungeony. The daughter's bedroom is the only space that had good vibes.

Thatsplentyjack · 15/10/2021 21:45

Its fucking horrible is what it is. Ruined what was probably once a beautiful house.

Classica · 15/10/2021 21:47

Yeah, its original layout would have been gorgeous.

GnomeDePlume · 15/10/2021 22:12

The dining room looks like a meeting room. I bet if you opened any one of the cupboards you would find dry wipe markers, long out of date pots of UHT milk and a mystery cable. One cupboard would contain the instructions for how to use the spider phone but there would be no spider phone.

853ax · 15/10/2021 22:27

Would prefer more empty space obviously a huge house but with all the furniture, fussy decor, lighting o find it too busy doesn't seem at all calm or relaxing
4 children and not a toy or bit Lego on sight?
They prob do all living on one floor they don't show to camera

LadyofMisrule · 15/10/2021 22:28

@GnomeDePlume Brilliant!
