Rachel Bright has written some beautiful children’s books with a lovely hidden message. The Lion inside is particularly lovely.

Whatstheweatherlike · 11/10/2021 20:58

The Lion Inside by Rachel Bright. She's a fabulous author and has done several really lovely stories perfect for 4 year olds, but The Lion Inside is my favouriteSmile

For some more diverse and interesting ideas I absolutely love these lists of folktale picture books here: www.whatdowedoallday.com/tag/folktales/ They have lists of folktales from Latin America, from Asia, from Africa, Scandanavia etc etc. My all-time favourite story book so far that my son really loves too is Seven Chinese Sisters: www.worldofbooks.com/en-gb/books/kathy-tucker/seven-chinese-sisters/9780807573105
