Who else is in bed already?

I have a 9 month old who wakes at 5am each day, and my school-run alarms for older children start at 6am, so there's no going back to sleep when she wakes me. Early nights have been the default since trimester 1x my poor husband despairs of seeing me after 9pm ever again. So what's your excuse for already being under the duvet 🥱 ?

Same here, I've just got myself into bed. I have a toddler who has been waking at 5.30 recently - partly due to a stinking cold she has picked up in nursery, and I also have two older kids I need to get out to school. DH has only just come in from work and I have barely seen him. Can't see me staying awake much longer tbh, I'm shattered! 😣

WormYourHonour · 05/10/2021 20:28

I am, it's chilly and heating costs, bed is warm and costs nothing. 😂

MrsRetreiver · 05/10/2021 20:30

God, I’d love to but just can’t bring myself to waste the precious leisure time after DS goes to bed!

I'm 12 weeks pregnant and this is a "late night" for me at 8:30pm. Normally my other half doesn't see me after 7pm but I treated myself to washing my hair and having a long shower tonight after I spent all day squelching round in the pouring rain. I love my bed!

hanketypankety · 05/10/2021 20:32

Me! Over the years my bedtime has gradually gone from 10pm to 8.30. If I'm not in bed by 9 I get twitchy 😂
I once got invited out to a birthday meal and was horrified when they said the table was booked for 9pm! I thought what kind of buggery is this!!

Rugbycomet · 05/10/2021 20:35

I am, but have a blood test tomorrow at 8am so nil by my mouth after 8pm….water only and have already had a drink and supper so am bored.

Oatsamazing · 05/10/2021 20:37

I'm just cleaning my teeth then off to bed. My almost 1 year old is waking at least 3 times a night at the moment, we're both still getting over a cold and cough and I started back at work a couple of weeks ago so just generally knackered Confused

Obsidiansphere · 05/10/2021 20:41

Me too, love an early night with a Brew

Fupoffyagrasshole · 05/10/2021 20:41

I’m actually so jealous

I want to go to bed - but my 7 month old decided she’s not ready for bed yet 🙈

Midnightstar76 · 05/10/2021 20:46

Me! usually go up about 8 - just knackered these days so go up to bed when my two children do as up at 6.30.Don’t sleep though until about 9.30 , 10.00

Orangejuicemarathoner · 05/10/2021 20:47

me! its warm and cosy, and I'm cuddling the cat.

Orangejuicemarathoner · 05/10/2021 20:48

I dont have any excuse!

NeedToKnow101 · 05/10/2021 20:49

I am! Thought I'd put on the electric blanket and read my book. But here I am back on Mumsnet.

EL8888 · 05/10/2021 20:51

Me. I’m sick so I’ve been here about an hour. I never go to bed this early, l normally go to sleep on a school night between midnight and 1am. I feel really ill Envy =not envious, queasy and trying to dodge 10th lot of diarrhoea today

DukeofEarlGrey · 05/10/2021 20:51

Not me, but you have inspired me to get in soon!

YoBeaches · 05/10/2021 20:52

Yes, 2yr old here. Her sleep isn't so bad but I'm off work for the week (was meant to travel but no 5 fuel...!) so instead DH and I have tackled the garden, the garage, the loft and 2 bottles of wine, so nice come up to bed :)

Plan to do some nice things for the rest of the week :)

pinkgin1 · 05/10/2021 20:52

My three year old daughter has just gone to sleep in bed
Currently up with my 3 month old son who should go to sleep by 10ish and sleep until 7
I am tireddddddd 😴😴😴

goldshade · 05/10/2021 20:55

Me, looked after GC today and back on duty early tomorrow. Got an hours drive each way so it's a long day but worth it.

trevthecat · 05/10/2021 20:56

Me! Watching TV in bed. Feel rough, just done a lateral flow (no specific symptoms but just feel off) it's negative so maybe it's the beginning of a cold. Or I'm just feeling sorry for myself!

RavensWig · 05/10/2021 20:58

I'm on my way there, it's bloody cold and I just want to cosy up in my bed.

SpindleWhirl · 05/10/2021 21:00

Bed and tv. GBBO. And Wine

MrsDThomas · 05/10/2021 21:01

Usually im in bed at 9. But my lobscouse has another hour to cook. I’ll be straight up there at 10

holidaynearlyover · 05/10/2021 21:03

No but I just dozed in front of GBBO 🤣. Perhaps I should be in bed 🤔

Shehasadiamondinthesky · 05/10/2021 21:04

.y ds is an adult and I live alone. I've been in bed since 7.30 because I'm cold and ache and want to read and watch TV.

Pebbledashery · 05/10/2021 21:04

Single parent, full time working, was on an early shift today so I was done in by 4pm... After I put DD down and finished my daily chores. I had dinner, sat for half an hour and then showered and in bed.. I can't stay up past 8.30pm on the sofa, my eyes start to feel heavy. Have put my notifications on DND, going to peruse MN for an hour then it's off to dream land.... X 5 days a week.
