£3000 for a family holiday- where would you go?

Our budget for next year is a bit bigger than usual. We have 3 children (who will be 1, 4 and 12). Where could we go that would keep all 3 of them entertained and would have accommodation with at least 2 bedrooms and a living area for DH and I to be in the evenings while they sleep? We are thinking 5 days- a week. Probably UK but maybe Europe. Not including spending money.

Sandy Balls? Depends where you live I guess.

Ginger1982 · 04/10/2021 18:56

Center Parcs?

TheFairyCaravan · 04/10/2021 18:58

Menorca. I’d definitely not stay in the U.K.

Alicesays · 04/10/2021 18:58

Martinhal in the Algarve

I would NOT stay in uk for five days at a cost of £3000 !!!!

There MUST be a better option

Lulu1919 · 04/10/2021 19:09

Look at Sands Resort Cornwall
Bedruthan steps or Watergate Bay hotel

Sandy Balls....south coast

USA Resort ..Cornwall near Carbis Bay

go abroad op! look for places with a child free place. there's plenty of all inclusive places within that budget. change your filters to include holiday clubs for kids although I'm sure they will be pretty entertained playing in the pool all day.

mrsdavegrohl · 04/10/2021 19:15

Magic Natura

CovidCorvid · 04/10/2021 19:18

Have you looked at something like Esprit holidays? Summer alpine holidays in chalets.

Palavah · 04/10/2021 19:22

What time of year?

EnglishGirlApproximately · 04/10/2021 19:26

With the wide age ranges I would look at a Eurocamp type holiday but in the better type of accommodation. On that budget for 5 days you could get a Safari Tent with bathroom or lodge etc. Then you'll have indoor and outdoor living space for when the younger ones are sleeping and the sites are generally safe enough to allow the 12 year old some freedom. I love Yelloh Village Les Mouettes in Brittany.

ducksalive · 04/10/2021 19:32

We had some great stays in Eurocamp, in tents and caravans.

PaperDolphin · 04/10/2021 19:45

£3k should get you 5 days at an all inclusive in Ibiza - that would get my vote.

MamaTutu2 · 04/10/2021 19:59

We did an air b n b in Spain this year including car hire and spending money for about £2000.

I second this. Go abroad, use the kids clubs, have some sun and enjoy! Sorry, but IMO UK holiday market can suck. You can't predict the weather, everything is super expensive and well it just doesn't beat a week of fun in the sun!

Efteling in Holland combined with berke begeen safari Park.

Or somewhere like ibiza /mallorca... South of France beautiful campsites there..

Or a series of little holidays

Chickoletta · 04/10/2021 20:08

Cyprus. Various AI resorts near Paphos. Might be slightly more than your budget but you wouldn’t need the spending money.

Pinkchocolate · 04/10/2021 20:13

I would go to cyprus too. You can get a four star all inclusive for £3k in peak season.

LivingLaVidaBabyShower · 04/10/2021 20:15

Do not stay in the uk!

Go to greece or cyprus

NaturalBlondeYeahRight · 04/10/2021 20:16

Another one for Efteling in Holland (suits all ages) or Majorca for some summer sun - maybe a small apartment or Villa?

NatashaRf · 04/10/2021 20:19

Disneyland Paris.

Staying either at their Davy Crockett Ranch or Villages Nature.

LubaLuca · 04/10/2021 20:21

Absolutely go abroad, Ballearics or Canaries in a villa perhaps. Don't waste £3k on a few days doing British things somewhere that is less comfortable than your own home.

Autumngoldleaf · 04/10/2021 20:22

Or buy the Disney annual pass and go a few times stsying off site.

converseandjeans · 04/10/2021 20:22

Duinrell in Holland
Eurocamp in France
Half term somewhere like Menorca

Hottubtimemachine · 04/10/2021 20:23

Does anyone have any links to family holidays abroad in school holidays for £3k? Genuine question, I’ve been looking all week and can’t see anything for less than 6-7k. Sounds like I’m looking in the wrong places!
Good luck OP!
