I'm not sure it's to do with bravery? More just good sense not to.

FedNlanders · 30/09/2021 23:01

Nope

Vaccine001 · 30/09/2021 23:01

I think it is to for with bravery. A 20 minute walk means a cab for me as i wouldn't have the courage.

Well if I didn't, I wouldn't be able to go to the supermarket during the winter months. So no choice really.

Kindertonguehappierlife · 30/09/2021 23:02

No I don’t.
But then I don’t know if that’s a ‘female’ thing...none of my male friends do either

Monkeytennis97 · 30/09/2021 23:02

No. Never have.

Embracelife · 30/09/2021 23:02

It get s dark at 5 pm in winter.
How do you manage to only go out in daylight?

DinosaurOfFire · 30/09/2021 23:02

I have always done so without giving it a second thought tbh. I haven't always been able to drive or lived on bus routes, so walking places is second nature to me. In my mid 30s now and still walk on my own at night at times.

Sunseed · 30/09/2021 23:02

I walk in the dark, but will make a risk assessment and keep my wits about me.

beccahamlet · 30/09/2021 23:03

I walk in the dark. Don't give it a second thought.

Thewindsofchange · 30/09/2021 23:03

I do but I'm very aware of surroundings and people.
I walk tall and confident and don't look anyone in the eye.
When I lived in London I would call my Dh when I got off the train and talk until I got home. It was only 5-10 mins but you never know.
The time I felt most scared and was actually followed by a man it was broad daylight.

Haggisfish3 · 30/09/2021 23:03

Yes, I walk lots at night.

RoseRedRoseBlue · 30/09/2021 23:03

Yes.

HundredMilesAnHour · 30/09/2021 23:04

If I wasn't willing to walk alone in the dark, I would have missed out on a lot of things in my life. I live alone. I'd rarely go out if I didn't.

Yes, I keep my wits about me. But I do it.

MixedClassBaby · 30/09/2021 23:04

Absolutely. It's not about courage for me. I enjoy being outdoors at all times and refuse to be controlled by fear.

purpleme12 · 30/09/2021 23:04

Yes I walk in the dark

gardeninggirl68 · 30/09/2021 23:04

i do yes. i also run in the dark and walk in the woods during the day

i'm constantly aware, looking around etc and the dog is with me in the woods

i'm ex Met police. But i'm quite fearful these days

Vaccine001 · 30/09/2021 23:04

I walk and cycle in the dark. I remind myself that men are more likely to be violently attacked by a stranger.

ZenNudist · 30/09/2021 23:05

Well it gets dark early in winter so yes I walk around in the dark. I don't do it late at night or in deserted area as that isn't brave, it's stupid.

Tealightsandd · 30/09/2021 23:05

Huge numbers of women have to everyday (and do it without incident). Getting to and from work, for example. Not everyone can drive or afford to run a car, and many workplaces don't have parking or it's too expensive.

TheLovelinessOfDemons · 30/09/2021 23:05

Yes.

dashoflime · 30/09/2021 23:06

Yes I do. I'm not very attractive and I don't look like I have anything hing worth stealing. People have always left me alone.

CandyCaneLane0 · 30/09/2021 23:06

Only with my dog
