Things that make you incandescent that you know are unreasonable

I'll start;

People being hellishly "loud" around the napping baby when actually they are not being particularly noisy/behaving perfectly reasonably.

Sustained shouting from next door-just the kids talking to each other but one is downstairs, up upstairs. The same family taking ages to leave when going somewhere (always really early on a Sunday morning), having chats on the driveway next to the front door. Just bloody go! You can talk in the car! See? Totally unreasonable. 🤣

This is mine too OP! I get so frustrated and can feel myself gritting my teeth. I just want to keep shushing them as though they are children. I'm talking about my own family here too!

Fireworks any night other than November the 5th. Arseholes!

However people use them to celebrate Eid and comemorate a lost loved one, which is reasonable I guess (but irritates the tits off me).

Both my babies were premature, they spent the first few weeks of life on a noisy ward where even 'quiet time' had cupboards banging, dishes clattering and machines beeping.

You know its irrational, you've said that. It's cute though.

My kids sleep though anything now. A bit of noise is good. You don't want a kid that only sleeps in silence.

I used to fantasise about running outside to stab/burst the lad across the road's basketball which he would incessantly bounce while dd was sleeping. Quite mad really.

People leaving their dogs out all hours of the day and night to bark and howl. It drives me to distraction.

My lovely next door neighbours being over the top friendly . I feel an arsehole even writing this, but we can't do anything in the front garden without them popping over to chat and invite us over...and they won't take no for answer. If you go in they knock on the door. If you say you are busy they reel of times and suggestions until you cave. They are so sweet but I would love to just be on 'hello, nice weather!' terms and enjoy the peace and quiet. I barely have any spare time as it is.

Oh the bloody Ice cream van!! Swear to God his decibel blasting tune plays on an eight hour shift, 365 days a year..with just a 20 second gap in-between

I use to have a dog , a big bugger but friendly . in the nice weather he came and went as he pleased in the front garden . All the kids on my road knew him and that it was ok to talk to him ( they couldn't reach him to stroke him a I had chicken wire on the gate to prevent this and them feeding him )
On days I knew he would be out I would bolt the gate so it couldn't be opened by Ddog or kids but i did not use the bolt at other times .( it was a bugger and stiff to lock )
However the little darlings from up the road would knock on my door , causing Ddog to bark and asking if he could play out
I know they did not mean any harm at all but it was a pain .

My next door neighbours extended family.

They visit often and SCREAM inside and out of the house. They SCREAM, the kids SCREAM they all SCREAM at each other to STOP SCREAMING.

People commenting on my food. In any way, even positively. Makes me want to stab them with my fork till they back the hell off and let me eat in peace.

The radio! Any radio channel, any presenter, any time. There's something about listening (but not seeing) someone prattle on about utter bollocks in between playing the same songs over and over again that irritates me beyond all reasoning. I'd ban radio stations if I could.

Millions of daily listeners tells me I'm in the minority and being unreasonable though!

People on threads who don't have the same opinion as me (only very slightly joking)

Ooh, I'm like that with the radio too. Hate talk shows and debates and people endlessly wittering. Just background music is all i want!

My DH jumping into bed when I am fast asleep which then wakes me up, he then proceeds to snore loudly while I’m struggling to get back to sleep.

@Goatling mine hardly ever snores as such, but he breathes just loudly enough to keep me awake. As in, I can still hear him even with ear plugs and a pillow over my head. He also groans in his sleep just as I'm dropping off.

I hate it when I am eating my lunch at the kitchen table and DH is hanging around in the kitchen, doing stuff and walking past my back. I know it’s unreasonable but it gives me the rage and I just want to say fuck off and let me eat in peace. DH knows it’s my pet peeve. Instead I ask him: can I help you? and he takes the hint and leaves the kitchen to do something else in another room.

Middle class dads cycling with their kids. I don't even know why. They're doing a nice thing and they aren't hurting anyone. But I just want to push them off their bikes.

I also hate it when people try to ask me questions when I am eating or stare at me when I am eating.

DH using the sander outside the conservatory door when I am knackered and feeling ill.
Realistically I should just shift my arse elsewhere.

People sneezing.

I know it's a natural function but it leaves me disproportionately irritated when I have to listen to it. Worse still when accompanied by a gurn-y ridiculous face.

I genuinely think fines should be issued for poor cinema behaviour and people should have to sign a contract and give a card number before they are allowed to set foot in a screening.

I don't even think its that unreasonable

I think we may actually be sisters because I also hate this, it does my head in. And I also don't like DH even being on the same floor as me while I'm getting dressed. He needs to sit quietly downstairs until I'm ready.
