What trainers are your teen boys wearing?

My DSS is about to turn 13 and has asked for trainers. His Mum is very traditional so I'm the one that generally buys his "cool" clothes but I've absolutely no idea about what he needs for his feet!

With no help, I'd go for Nike AF1s but I have a pair and I'm not sure how well that would go down!

All ideas welcome! Please! Help!

Why don’t you sit online with him and ask him to pick the style/colour he’s after?

16 year old likes Nike 95 just got new ones
They are sturdy and comfy apparently
But he choose these himself
3rd pair in a row as they wear well last ages, let your son choose trainers he has to wear

If you want to spend ££ then my DS's dream trainers would be Nike Vapourmax's. He also likes N95s and is hankering after a pair of AF1's (though I dint have them!)

Definitely get him to choose.

DS1 (17) has plain black... something. Dunno what. They have rainbow laces though.

DS2 (almost 15) has floral canvas ankle boots from the woman's section in Primark.

I suspect my teen boys are very much not typical.

Well only one actually, the school keeps taking the other one as a 'deposit' for some plastic protractor or something. [sigh]

We are Jordans only at the moment. The boot type.
His previous shoes of choice were Nikes 270s or 720s.

My 13yr old is wearing a plain black pair from shoe zone. He is autistic though and will only wear the same looking ones he's had for 8 years. Getting harder to find now he's a size 11.

My DS2 (who is 13) has airforce 1's in black and some nike basketball shoes in red, black and white. Most of his friends also seem to have airforce 1's, although they have much smaller feet than ds2 so were able to get them a lot cheaper as they are still in the child sizes. My ds2 is in adult size 10's. I have already told him I will never be buying him a pair as expensive as the airforce's again!

If he wants a surprise could you not get him to select 3 pairs with the idea you pick one pair to buy?

Mine wears black AF1 for school and Nike basketball type or DC skate shoes for home

DS13 has Vapormax as got them in sale for £140 instead of £190 (he's in a 7.5 so we have to buy mens)

Jordans are my 13 year old's dream footwear.
