Why can I always smell burning?

It's doing my head in.

Like burning firewood for a few days now. I just assumed the neighbours were having a BBQ/bonfire/burning things but they were from what I can see.

Have you had Covid? I had exactly the same smell while recovering from Covid, google it, loads of people recovering from Covid suffer from phantom smells.

Ohhhh, I'm so dopey! I've been smelling burning too. Been thinking I'm about to die of a stroke (I have health anxiety so my mind immediately thinks I'm dying) but I've just had covid, and had bad sinus pain at the end of it, so double whammy of reasons I might smell burning. It seems to have calmed down a bit now, I only get it at the end of the day when I also get a headache and tired. Hoping all the symptoms will bugger off soon!

I can always smell cigarette smoke so strongly it makes my nostrils smart. It's something to do with electrical discharge and my migraines.
