Another young woman killed in London, possibly by a stranger.

Have seen only a limited number of news reports about it so want to highlight so that she’s not yet another victim whose death is very quickly forgotten about.

Terrible 😥

FlibbertyGiblets · 20/09/2021 23:07

Awful news, my condolences to her family, friends and colleagues.

BobsBurgersisthebest · 20/09/2021 23:28

So sad. So beautiful! So unfair.

Though I know what you mean, I'm tired of reading "so sad" when these things happen. I've seen it said about the three children and the woman killed in Sheffield. It's not sad. Sad is when a relationship ends or something similar. We need to be angry, furious about things like this. Not sad. It's evil.
Nofacedetected · 21/09/2021 06:38

I was dismayed by the lack of coverage.

TheWeeDonkey · 21/09/2021 06:44

That's terrible. The poor woman, i feel for her family, friends, colleagues and students

Initial reports before the police released her name stated that Sabina was known to the police and they were quick to arrest a 40 year old on suspicion of murder so maybe she knew her attacker.

misscockerspaniel · 21/09/2021 09:33

Yet another young woman murdered.

RIP Sabina. You were beautiful and bright and sounded like a lovely person.

marplemead · 21/09/2021 09:36

RIP Sabina. I'm so angry at reading reports like this almost every day.

It was the main headline by the Daily Mail.
MancMum2000 · 21/09/2021 11:30

It’s so awful. And very scary that it seems to have happened in a busy park yet gone unnoticed.

Despite what has been reported, it's not a busy park.
fairydust11 · 21/09/2021 23:07

This is awful, so sad. Why is it not all over the news like similar murders? I have barely seen any coverage of this.

scrivette · 21/09/2021 23:14

Sky News we're covering it and it's been in all of the local papers too. Very sad.

Gingernaut · 21/09/2021 23:16

And a guy arrested for it was bailed. Seriously??

hufffflufff · 21/09/2021 23:22

agree, coverage poor vs other similar more recent murders. RIP Sabina Flowers

Rayzr · 22/09/2021 03:26

Its rushey green catford, full of crazies and homeless men louting around. Im a man and dont feel safe there let alone a young pretty lady. Innocent girls from outside london sadly need to be more careful in these areas. I dont mean to offend i just know the area.

PurpleDaisies · 22/09/2021 03:30

That looks very much like victim blaming there @Rayzr.

Matilda82 · 22/09/2021 04:22

@Rayzr. She was a local. And 'ladies' do not need to be careful. Men need to stop being violent. How about the focus is on that.

MsHedgehog · 22/09/2021 08:51

@Rayzr I know you mean well but that is the mindset that needs to change - it’s not women who need to learn or be told to stay safe, it’s men who need to learn to not harm. The onus shouldn’t be on women.

She died in Kidbrooke, not “rushey green catford” so your description of that location is neither relevant or helpful.

I think that's where she worked but the incident happened in kidbrooke...which is a pretty nice area. I live very close. It's absolutely awful news. So sad
user764329056 · 22/09/2021 15:59

Violence against women and children is a full-blown crisis in this country yet policy makers continue to ignore as they always have

She was killed in Kidbrooke, not Catford. Lots of us walk through Catford or Kidbrooke every day, as do our children on their way to/from school and have every right to feel safe doing so regardless of who might be 'louting about'. Sabina Nessa wasn't killed because of where she was but because someone chose to kill her.
Elephantsparade · 22/09/2021 19:03

Such an awful thing to happen. Her poor family. Also the children she taught must be in shock.
It feels like a constant barrage of women being murdered.
