What's been the nicest thing you've eaten this weekend?

I bought a tub of loaded Millionaire's brownies from M&S and I would give them 10/10.

I also had a very nice sausage sandwich yesterday morning.

Apple and cheddar.

Just had a Greek takeaway. Kleftiko and chicken stuffed with feta. Delicious.

We've been experimenting with milk alternatives. Almond milk this weekend - it's incredible on granola and in hot chocolate! 😋

A dish called Khichuri, made by my mum. Soft, mushy rice, dahl & veggies cooked together in one pot. With fried potatoes. Absolutely delicious, pure comfort food.

Poached egg from my chickens with spinach, avocado and chilli oil.

Lidl's French week chocolate and almond tart!

Also made some turkey with marmalade and bourbon which was really tasty

Keep it simple. Lovely toast with god's own breakfast preserve, marmalade.

I just boiled large ravioli filled with porcini mushrooms and mascarpone, Pan fried them in a little butter until slightly crispy on both sides then added a beautiful truffle sauce I picked up at the Italian deli this afternoon! Topped with fresh shaved Parmesan cheese and shiitake mushrooms 😍 so simple but so delicious. The sauce was £9 for 100gs 😳 so a real treat that I won't be having again for a while.

DH made carrots with ginger and honey in rosé sauce and potato dauphinoise for lunch.

Went to the Wolsley Cafe today and had THE most incredible Croque Madame, it was the sort of thing you eat and then know you are going to be thinking about when you can eat it again! Bloody delicious.

Probably a cheese, tomato, mayonnaise and cracked black pepper sandwich eaten by myself in a silent house, sitting in a freshly cleaned, sunny kitchen after a very busy stressful week!

The same as every weekend. Cheesecake.

I love artichokes, and I stay v near Glasgow so I'll definitely check that out.

Lamb shanks with lemon, garlic, rosemary, cumin, bay, oregano, thyme. We ended up going out for lunch do me and DD have been snacking on the meat falling apart off the bone all evening.

Glorious.

It’s on Victoria Road, amazing food.

The pub Sunday lunch I had.Ham,chicken,roast potatoes and mash,stuffing,Yorkshire pudding,carrots and cabbage with gravy.

Cherries in syrup (in a jar from Lidl) with meringue and creme fraiche. Simply delicious.

Polish sliced sausage from Lidl. Smoked, with garlic and pepper. It's going on my regular shopping list it is lovely.

Orange and almond cake, chocolate cake, warm mini sausage rolls, French stick with brie...hosted a birthday party so it's OK!!

Blackberry and apple crumble, made with honey and Calvados, scoffed with cream.

Toast! Just toast and butter this morning.

After a horrible night-shift, had a young fatal RTC. I got home and had a big cup of tea and some amazing toast before bed.

Just going back for another shift and hoping it will be better.
