I bought a tub of loaded Millionaire's brownies from M&S and I would give them 10/10.

I also had a very nice sausage sandwich yesterday morning.

A Jaffa jonut - yummy!

SecretWitch · 19/09/2021 15:53

Cracked pepper turkey on very fresh rye bread with Gouda cheese and lettuce. Bliss

Scarby9 · 19/09/2021 15:55

Chicken Schnitzel with matchstick fries at Betty's at Harlow Carr Gardens. Worth every penny.

I made a lovely rissoto on Friday night. But hands-down the nicest thing was dinner at a restaurant last night, especially the appetisers. We shared tempura carrots with chipotle dip, cauliflower parmesanbites in a tomato basil sauce and tiny waffles with short ribs and horseradish aioli.

Inextremis · 19/09/2021 15:55

I haven't eaten it yet, but I'm tasting it as it cooks - it's my Boston baked beans and bacon, made with a big chunk of smoked bacon, navy beans, treacle, loads of tomato puree, worcestershire sauce etc. etc. - and one bird's eye chilli for a little kick. It's tremendous - which is just as well as I've made far too much for one meal for two people, so will be freezing the leftovers for another day (or days, tbh). Think I'll make some bread to go with it, so it'll be like posh beans on toast :)

Mozzarella, chicken breast, flame-roasted peppers, spinach, basil pesto, red pepper sauce and parmesan panini with really well seasoned fries last night.

viques · 19/09/2021 16:04

Ate out in the sun yesterday with friends. Olives and good garlic flatbread. Monkfish and mussels in tomato and peppers . Chips. Alcohol. .

AlanisMorningShed · 19/09/2021 16:06

I'm sat in the sun eating a sicilian lemon pink lemonade ice lolly from the the co-op. It's the best thing I've eaten all weekend.

Comedycook · 19/09/2021 16:07

A raspberry and pistachio cruffin (croissant/muffin hybrid filled with raspberry jam and creme pat). It shouldn’t be delicious, but it was!

diddl · 19/09/2021 16:20

Beef stew & dumplings for lunch today.

Made even more delicious by not having done anything towards it!

mbosnz · 19/09/2021 16:26

That's a tough one.

The home-made sweet and sour pork last night was banging.

However, the bbq'ed home made burgers today, absolutely slapped.

And we've got a lovely leg of lamb with roasties and all the trimmings for tea. . .

Friday we had some fresh scallops; I pan friend them in butter, a little s and p; removed from pan reduced the juices put scallops on plate poured over juices served with crusty bread and butter, wedges of lemon, cold white wine.

This am I did a cooked breakfast. Grilled thick-cut bacon and tomatoes, fried eggs, oyster mushrooms fried in butter. Plus freshly sqeezed oraneg juice, coffee, toast and marmalade.

There will be no lunch.

Tonight DH is cooking a Jamie Oliver recipe we've not had before, butternut and coconut curry

ISpyCobraKai · 19/09/2021 16:30

Chicken kebab from my favourite takeaway.

Famousfrays · 19/09/2021 16:30

MrsDThomas · 19/09/2021 16:30

Haven’t eaten it yet.

Beef dinner on the go and apple and blackberry crumple. And a glass of merlot.

AtleastitsnotMonday · 19/09/2021 16:31

In no way homemade, but the Aldi raspberry sorbet I bought yesterday. It’s so good.

jamie85 · 19/09/2021 16:33

@elephantoverthehill

A peach from my tree.
I envy you for that, how delicious, how satisfying. I have a ham hock slow cooking at the moment, with broad beans and other vegetables.
Nofaffing · 19/09/2021 16:36

Homemade Katsu curry, yum!

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 19/09/2021 16:39

We had BLT chicken on Friday , which is always popular 😋
