This is too much for me. The model in the animal print, posing by the mirror, showing off his Lidl trainers.

I have dealt with Trump’s presidency, I have accepted Brexit. I have lived through COVID restrictions. But this is just too much for me.

Trainers are hideous but the foldable shopping bag is decent.

There was a bloke in pvc black leggings, pink tutu and strappy top in my local Lidl yesterday. Truly, my eyes would have welcomed him dressed head to toe in Lidl gear instead...

My teens love this stuff, I snap it up whenever I see it! It's ironic by all accounts.

I honestly can't decide whether these pictures are the work of a marketing genius with a sharp sense of humour and an eye for 1980s German chic, or whether they just got someone's eccentric auntie (from the DDR) to head up the campaign.

Either way I quite want the blue yellow and red bag.

The trainers are snazzy

These are truly iconic and weirdly fascinating, all wrapped up in a super awful way.

As above, I can't decide whether this is modern genius marketing where they will have cult status and be deemed nerdy cool, or just rank awfulness. Perhaps the marketing bods don't even know yet. Only time will tell.

Crocs were once trendy too, and we know what happened there.

Oh my those are something to behold when you see them close up. You know I actually think they could get cult status and we could see the shelves stripped of them. (For me personally the jury is still a bit out.)

Why are we getting different pictures I wonder? Several of us don't get the indoor, stately home pics. We get outdoor ones. Much less fun.
