Is 5th September a summer or autumn baby?

Curious as to what everyone would say!

Autumn but I know technically it’s summer.

Have only heard this expression used in terms of place in school year so if in England I’d say Autumn. Was probably more summer like weather than in August though.

Autumn. Mainly because a) September is autumn b) they’ll be one of the oldest in the year at school and the first term is the autumn term.

I would say an autumn baby as they are born in the autumn.

But are you thinking of school holidays in England? If you are still on 'summer' holidays then I can see why you would think that.

(I'm in Scotland so a little unsure of the school dates in England)

1st September onwards is autumn term, so autumn.

If on time then Autumn but could be summer if only 5 days early !

Late summer. Autumn doesn't begin until the autumnal equinox for me.

Summer. Autumn officially starts on the 22nd September.

I genrally consider December January and february as winter, March- May Spring, June - august Summer and September- November as autumn though in Scotland it is more like November to March Winter April and May Spring June summer July warmish rainy season aka school holidays August 2-3 weeks of late summer September and October Autumn

Definitely Autumn. In the Celtic calendar, autumn begins in August. You can sense autumn on its way in august so I'd definitely say early autumn.

A summer baby in regards to school is one born in June, July or August. The youngest children in the school year. 5th September will be one of the eldest. I'm a September baby.

I’m a teacher and they would be described as an ‘Autumn born’ child in terms of education.

In England, it depends on the context - Educationally Autumn (From start of new school year so a child will be older and tend to be most 'ahead'), Astronomically Summer (equinox date varies but tends to be late September), Meteorologically Autumn (from 01/09) relating to the weather.
