What has mildly annoyed you today?

I bought tinned sweet corn from Asda rather than Tesco or aldi, I always buy the cheapest but this one is disgusting and flavourless. I bought 3 tins of it too

Everything pretty much today including back pain that I can't drive and relying on others and I hate that!
Some of these have had me loling though so thanks they cheered me up.
The one about the scratch card literally I was imaging the guy's face looking at you hahahahahahah

Had to return yet ANOTHER set of school trousers today because none of the local stores will sell any that aren't skinny or slim fit. DS is a perfectly normal sized child, in proportion etc but he doesn't like his clothes to be snug.

The poor woman at M&S, just making polite conversation said, "oh, so these weren't quite right then" and I wanted to rip her head off. I'm so so tired of the shittiness of children's clothing. Anything for DD has to be tight because apparently girls can only wear clothes that are tight or expose their stomachs. And poor DS with his sensory issues can't even wear normal school trousers even after he's worked really hard to lose weight. He is exactly a size 11-12 based on M&S's measurements. He just doesn't want trousers that hug his bloody bum.

I feel you on this. SO hard to find non skinny leg trousers! My son is so uncomfy in them and they look ridiculous.

This year we have bought M&S regular fit in one size up, but short length (they are cunningly hidden in the size part online that says long/extra long, but they also have short!). The waist is too large but they have that elastic in them so we just use that to pull them in.

Don't get me started on skinny fit joggers. UGH.

Mine is that the bank cancelled my card because apparently the details had been revealed in an unspecified data breach. They sent me a new one and the number is obviously different, and my old one was linked to so many automatic payments. They keep bouncing and then I have to put my new card details in and even though it's saved in google pay it never works because my finger is always too hot / sticky/ cold / damp /dry for the fingerprint authorisation to work. Then I have to go and get the card from my bag. Again.

Some little gob shite at work trying to talk over me in a meeting.

My tooth! I think the temp filling is sitting a bit high so I'm going to go back tomorrow. It's been throbbing for a week since I've had it done. My next appointment isn't until October. Now my top teeth hurt because the bite is off. If they don't file it down tomorrow, I'm tempted to pull the fucker out myself.

I had a hair appointment booked for next Friday (my day off) but now my colleague wants the day off instead and to switch days.

Why did you switch if you already had the day off?

The bloody carpenter who fitted laminated wood flooring in my living room yesterday, today we noticed one floorboard went down as we stood on it and after further investigation we also discovered that whole area is bouncing as we walk on it!!! Rang the store and no apology nothing just we'll get the fitter to ring you bye!! Great customer service!!! Like when tomorrow? Next week? When ffs?? Probably more than mildly annoyed!!! I'm fuming!

Also I had my flu jab and feel like crap, and asked my husband to do the recycling (this is possibly the second time in our 20 year marriage this has happened) and he said well it depends, how fussy are they about how it's sorted and made this really .. inconvenienced face.

I went to bed.

He has done the recycling, but I am still pissed off.

My freezer is pretty well stocked as I've been batch cooking lately. Went to get something out to defrost this morning and something else fell out. I put it back, then something else fell out. Repeat x 6. Just threw it in and slammed the door on it in the end. Seems like a problem for another day.

I had exactly the same this evening, a whole avalanche of packets sliding out one after another.

DP walking in unexpectedly when as far as I knew I was home alone. I didn't hear the front door so first I knew was the living room door opening behind me, causing me to shout OH SHIT and fling my coffee down my favourite cardi which is very thick and heavy and takes an aeon to dry after washing

The crushed rock gravel chips in my driveway are too big.

DH let dd have a snack straight before bed that she insisted on eating in a slow and protracted way, to the extent that I had to warn her to hurry up and eat it or it would be removed. Snack had to be removed after a while, she was pissed off and so was I and bedtime was not enjoyable, she was just in a shitty mood with mr that seemed impossible to recover despite my best efforts. Been irritated with DH all evening in response, for starting it!

My online shop should have had 4 x six pint cartons. They only had one 6 pint so they subbed them with 3 x 4 pints.

So now I have 18 pints instead of 24. And I have to go out and buy more milk. How hard is it?

Then, at bedtime, after blocking the en-suite door whilst fiddling with the bedroom TV, I saw him pull a face when I asked him to move and let me in “because he was only going to be there for a minute”. He’d already been there for a minute so how was I supposed to know how much longer he was going to be ??

There seems to be a problem with milk, my last delivery had no milk and no substitute! Maybe it was a form of rationing?

Because it was easy enough for me to make the change and she would have had a good reason (eg hospital app). Not sure yet what as is currently on holiday. Also a very flexible firm who i like to be flexible for but still mildly annoying because my heir really needs cutting now and is getting annoying.

The repair man knocking in the door this morning when I was having a lie in (school off today) to get started in the backyard. I have to get up at 5.30am to make sure my oldest gets up and off to school for 6.15am every bloody morning and I’m exhausted (have autoimmune conditions that cause fatigue). Oh well at least they’re here to get on with the job.
