It's only a little one from the market, in case we didn't like it. I've never bought one before 🤷‍♀️

Avocado, Philadelphia cheese and crispy bacon in white bread sliced from a bloomer.

'Tis the absolute Dogs Bollocks I tell ye.

Buy some hallumi cheese, sweet chilli sauce and some of those warburtons flat breads you shove in the toaster. Mash the avocado up and fill the toasted flat breads with that the cheese and some sweet chilli sauce. Bloody lovely! Apparently it's also nice smashed with fresh mint, lime and chopped cherry tomatoes

We try not to eat avocado too often because of environmental concerns, but we have it here and there. A properly good avocado is absolutely heavenly. But you really don’t get those here very often...

I'm half way through the replies so far. I think we'll maybe keep it simple for now & try it on toast. Handily, I do have some nicer than usual bread in.

Mash it up with marmite-spread on wholemeal toast, top with grilled cherry tomatoes and a poached egg-food from the bloody gods!

I recently discovered that tuna & avocado go really well together. But I can’t stomach it with egg!

I like mine in a chicken or bacon sandwich, or a salad.

Once it’s open scoop it out whole and slice thinly. Put onto toasted buttered granary bread, top with quartered baby tomatoes, salt, pepper, a drizzle of balsamic vinegar and a bit of crumbled feta. Heaven!

• with prawns in a roll
• filled with prawns, cheese on top & baked

• on toast with chilli flakes and squeeze of lemon

• with beef tomatoes , mozzarella and balsamic vinegar

• in a salad with cherry tomatoes

• on their own

I love that my nearest M&S often have boxes of them or a pack of 6 - yummy

Avocado lovers, I have stopped buying avocados and buy M&S smashed avo instead. Always perfect. We used to throw so many away I hated the waste (and can just about stomach the extra plastic).

My mum always gave them to us as kids with the hollow filled with french dressing.

Now I have them on toast, as guac, sliced in a salad, I bloody love 🥑

Lovely in a salad. Especially love it with Asian style dressing with soy sauce and wasabi. Yum.

Chopped avocado, cubed feta and halved cherry tomatoes in a bowl with sea salt and chilli flakes. Mix together and serve with a toasted buttered sesame bagel. Perfect.

Avocado farming is incredibly damaging to the environment.

Deforestation along with ridiculous amounts of water.

They are up there with palm oil.

I hate avocado they are not to my liking at all but I like guacamole so I’d turn it into that!

Have it with smoked salmon and cream cheese with a dash of salt and pepper and squeeze a little bit if lemon..delicious

I'd either kick it out or put it up for adoption depending on the age. Bloody kids...!
