Not a chance!

queenofarles · 09/09/2021 19:10

No Way!

jillandhersprite · 09/09/2021 19:11

No for me - I'm pretty easygoing on certain foods but not soft cheese like mozzarella...

PammieDooveOrangeJoof · 09/09/2021 19:11

No way. Open it up and I’m sure the smell will give you your answer.
On my experience mozzarella is v quick to go off and smell rank.

queenofarles · 09/09/2021 19:16

I ate an M&S sandwich on its best by date , had horrible cramps for days 😖.

SquirryTheSquirrel · 09/09/2021 19:17

No. I'm very unfussed about use-by dates but nearly three weeks for cheese would be beyond my tolerance.

IDidntFloatUpTheLaganInABubble · 09/09/2021 19:19

No and I do not pay much attention to use by bbe dates. I would worry about such old soft cheese and I'd bin it.

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 09/09/2021 19:19

No!

NerrSnerr · 09/09/2021 19:19

Mozzarella goes off quick. I don't think it'll taste very nice.

DramaAlpaca · 09/09/2021 19:20

No, don't eat that.

Violetroselily · 09/09/2021 19:21

I have the constitution of an ox and am very relaxed about use by dates, but even I wouldn't eat that

roses2 · 09/09/2021 19:21

If it smelt OK I'd eat it

lils088 · 09/09/2021 19:22

Please do NOT eat it

NotAnotherBloodyNameChange · 09/09/2021 19:23

Go on op.
Then come back & report.

Seriously-no. Don’t do it. 🤢

QuestionableMouse · 09/09/2021 19:23

If you have to ask, you definitely shouldn't be eating it.

Suzi888 · 09/09/2021 19:24

Yeah if I wanted to lose weight fast and be attached to the toilet for three days straight 🤣

custardbear · 09/09/2021 19:25

I've had bags of mozzarella burst open when they go off ... it's great 😵

lljkk · 09/09/2021 19:33

Smell + taste test for me.
Suspect it would pass tests & I would end up eating it.
Stomach of steel me.
Worst is that it tastes bad.

LawnFever · 09/09/2021 19:34

I’d open it and make a decision based on the smell/texture - if you’d bought it from a deli it wouldn’t have a date on it

ArabellaStrange · 09/09/2021 19:35

As long as it smelled OK and tasted fine, down my hatch it would go. Fingers crossed its been a long time since I had food poisoning.

Hohofortherobbers · 09/09/2021 19:37

Mozzarella is pasteurized, so I'd eat it if it smelt OK and the packet is still sealed

RubyGoat · 09/09/2021 19:37

Smell & feel it. Smell - obvious. Feel - if it's slimey, bin it. If you get to tasting it I'll be surprised, given that it has conden9on the inside...

I've generally largely ignored use by & best before dates (even on soft cheese) but 3 weeks over is a bit much TBH. Meat & fish, I'm pretty careful with.

ISpyCobraKai · 09/09/2021 19:38

Yes of course, it'll be fine.

Ethelfromnumber73 · 09/09/2021 19:41

If it smells like sour milk, don't eat it. Otherwise I prob would.

offyougotwantychops · 09/09/2021 19:41

I'd cook it so on pizza or cheese on toast. Or in a pasta dish, but wouldn't eat it 'raw' iyswim I have eaten old mozzarella and it was rancid literally and metaphorically!
