Had a chilled out Sunday. Wine may have been involved! I have just put a sticky chicken & plum tray bake in the oven & it’s smelling amazing. An Asda recipe & so easy to make. Did a top up shop at Asda this morning; I have been in there 3 times this week. Obviously need to get more organised! DH went to watch The Tour Of Britain cyclists riding through our town. I was watching on tv as I didn’t have as much interest but the ads came on at the point where they were passing just down the road from us! Typical! Looking forward to catching up on programmes later, including last night’s Casualty, and watching SAS Who Dares Wins ( Celebrity). Enjoyed the first episode last week & some of the course trainers are pretty hot!

I've just sat down after putting baby DD to bed. DH is on FaceTime with his sister in New York. DCat is outside basking in the last of the sun.

We're gearing up for Rosh Hashana (Jewish new year) and we've been cooking and preparing all day. It's nice to finally sit down!

We only moved in on Tuesday so have been unpacking, weeding the garden and crying

Not long after our Sunday roast and we are all just relaxing doing our own thing before getting DS's sorted for bed.

I'm watching Ally McBeal.

I love Sunday evenings.

DH watching formula one, DS watching videos on his phone, I'm reading crap on the internet with a gin. We've had tacos so full bellies all round. Been a mixture of chilled out and getting jobs done around the house today.

Back to school tomorrow so lots of sorting of uniform and bags plus my work stuff. We've had a lovely day hanging out in the garden, planting a few bits and the littles playing with water. The unexpectedly warm weather was a big bonus.

Everyone is reading but we might play a game in a bit. Watching Vigil later (it is tonight?). Then dreading going to bed as back to work tomorrow!! End of holiday blues.

DD is eating yet more food. She's having a mega growth spurt at the moment and I can't fill her up 😩

DH is pottering about doing a few jobs and I'm having 10 mins to myself before doing some laundry and putting the kids in bed.

Not very exciting but we've had a busy weekend and everyone is exhausted.

Took the kids trampolining this morning, then came home and they played in their 'construction site' in the garden. Raining now so we're indoors for quiet hour. Will probably do some baking if the rain continues and a film and popcorn

Ds and dh have just sat down to start watching 24, which neither of them have ever seen.
Finding our own stuff for tea tonight, I'm sitting in the kitchen cacking about on MN and avoiding emptying the dishwasher.

Ds1 is eating his dinner.
Ds2 is bouncing around upstairs, over excited about tomorrow's return to school.
DH is washing up.

I'm doing as little as possible, as I cooked.

Also back to school tomorrow so we've been getting ourselves sorted.

In the countdown before bedtime so the DC are watching tv. We were sitting outside having a lovely time drinking wine in the sun, then DH went to the ice cream van and realised my car's headlights had been left on (stupid Volvo with a stupid button next to where your knee goes) so now I've stopped drinking wine and am waiting for the breakdown company to come and jump the battery so I can take it for a quick whizz around the local environs to charge it up.

My wine is looking very lonely, and I'm fed up!

I’ve just been out for a mega bike ride with some pals. DS’s have gone to their dads for Sunday dinner.

I’m gonna do a huge omelette, water my plants and then watch Mortimer and Whitehouse. Perfect

DD is in her room on the iPad fighting sleep! She was at a sleepover last night so very tired but determined to stay awake until bed time 😂.

I'm in the kitchen wrapped up in a big shawl as I'm freezing, waiting for the Sainsbury's delivery which is late and full of substitutions.

Will be having a bath and going up to bed as soon as it has arrived as I'm exhausted and up at 5am for work.

Had a lovely chilled day, just watched the football and put DS to bed. DP is now scrolling through Twitter and watching the cricket while I browse Mumsnet and wonder what the parcel waiting for me at the sorting office is. Another one with the back to work blues ahead of tomorrow!

Dd having a bath and hair wash, finishing off last minute things for school tomorrow. Had a lovely day, roast at pub and then beach park and splash pad for an hour. Weather glorious not too hot and we walked back to the car in the lovely hazy lazy late afternoon sun.

I've made a start on sorting out our spare room. It's going to be a long job, including redecorating. I'm about to start making dinner.

DS is upstairs in his room, DH is having a nap watching TV after mowing the front lawn.

Notification from Ds's school - still on green, no cases, so normal lessons like last week. Currently DD+DS are cooking sth.
DH prepares for a work trip to Vienna (he can finally work again).
I am waiting for the kitchen to be free to prepare my packed lunch for tomorrow

Lazy morning, beach with a book for me in the afternoon, hobby for DP, now he's cooking and on FaceTime to his sister while I scroll MN and then it's dinner and Vigil

We're having Chicken TrayBake too, just about to mash the spuds and serve.

DS is on his PC after sleeping most of the day (he had prom on Friday and after party) and then another party on Saturday until the early hours so he was pooped.

I've been to boxing class, done my shopping and ironing and cleaning.

I've got a date (supposedly) at 8.30, so I'm cutting it a bit fine haha!

Lazy morning, DP took kids to the park after lunch so I have even had a few hours all to myself which is a rarity. I read and chilled in the sunshine.

Everyone is fed and watered, uniform is all laid out for tomorrow. Packed lunch and snacks all sorted.

Wine has been poured, DP just finishing off DC1 haircut and then he'll be showered and we are going to watch a movie.

We just got back from holiday yesterday and today have collected the cat from her pet hotel and now the silkie chickens and the indoor rabbit from their pet hotel. DD is at a party.

Had a roast dinner and lemon tartlette x 2. Need to finish getting DS's stuff ready for school tomorrow and ideally to clean living room and a bit of garden and also put bins out but getting late so maybe tomorrow for that now.

After a lazy day initially, we are preparing for our last camping trip of the year.

We are currently ticking things off the camping list, with just a couple of last minute things to sort out tomorrow before we leave. Just dh and I, can’t wait.

Silkiecat is just playing the piano which probably means DS left the remains of his roast dinner on the top of the piano.

Bizarrely DC are both in bed reading. Even more strange, they suggested this plan earlier to get into bed at a sensible time and read until I tell them to turn the light off. DC2 even claims she will then go to sleep by herself without me sitting next to her (she’s 6 so that would be a very welcome development). I am going to iron school uniform, as there was a message from the school this morning saying DC1 needs to wear her P.E kit tomorrow and I hadn’t ironed that. DH is still at his time-consuming hobby that can only be done several hours drive away.
