Is anyone watching her on BBC Two? I feel so nostalgic seeing her performances from the early 2000s- I went to see her on top of the pops! Does anyone else feel old now?

Funny the first but live at the beeb was just her grunting/shouting and shaking her arse, this Glasto shows much better. The old totp footage was brilliant, clothes on and much lighter skinned too, sad. But nae wonder her fannies on fire, stop twerking hen, friction burn Grin

CatNamedEaster · 04/09/2021 21:56

I had to squint at the tv when it said some footage was from 2003. I was sure they meant 2013.Shock
I've never followed her that closely but It's been a brilliant listen.

Polkadotties · 04/09/2021 21:56

I’ve seen her a few times. Love love love her!! Can’t believe she is 40. Makes me feel old!

Dontevenask · 04/09/2021 22:16

she looks so like her mum in her Glastonbury set!

MaverickDanger · 04/09/2021 22:23

I was there live & it’s been so good to sit back and reminisce about my early 20s when I used to go to 10 festivals a year.

Polkadotties · 04/09/2021 22:31

I have sung along to every song.

Dontevenask · 04/09/2021 22:32

@MaverickDanger I’m so jealous! I saw her at T in the Park that year but was so gutted I didn’t go to Glastonbury!

@Polkadotties I know, I have too! I almost feel a bit emotional- was so young back then!

Watching it now I love her x

IndiaDreaming · 04/09/2021 22:33

I saw Destiny's Child...I cant remember when. Feeling nostalgic but don't get the cult like fan base. Is she really that good?

MaverickDanger · 04/09/2021 22:34

@Dontevenask honestly it was amazing, I stood there and cried for most of it. DH was pissing himself laughing at me telling him that & asked what I was on.

I’ve cried again tonight & he’s laughed once again. This was absolute peak Beyoncé.

Me too I’ve had a few wines and I always get emotional listening to her. The concerts that I’ve been to hold very special memories for me

Much lighter skinned? Can you explain that? I'm not sure what you mean.
ssd · 04/09/2021 22:38

Shes amazing. And what a voice. I seen Whitney Houston at Wembley, she was amazing too.

ssd · 04/09/2021 22:38

I wondered at lighter skinned too??

Why is her being lighter skinned before better Hmm

I love old Yonce so am loving this! Really enjoyed her Homecoming thing on Netflix though. Not a superfan but just love her work ethic!

KitKatKit · 04/09/2021 22:40

Oh me! Have just sung along to the whole thing and it's really lifted my spirits.
She was brilliant in 2011, it all went south from Lemonade onwards IMO.

Keroppi · 04/09/2021 22:41

Just reread and probably have misinterpreted that comment, @TheCanyon, I didn't see the "sad"! Apologies! Gin

annacondom · 04/09/2021 22:41

I'm not a huge fan of anything post-1975 Wink and I don't really know her stuff but she is really professional, energetic, and a bloody good singer. I have to say that I found the Glasto performance quite emotional. I love the way she connected with the crowd. I knew the song "At last" and she sang it so well - it was beautiful. I wish she'd wear a bit more though. But Shirley Bassey is more my era and with her it was all evening gowns. But Bey looks amazing.

ssd · 04/09/2021 22:41

Has she changed a lot then? I never see her on the news etc

Dontevenask · 04/09/2021 22:42

@KitKatKit I think you’re right, I didn’t mind Lemonade but much preferred her earlier stuff!

Polkadotties · 04/09/2021 22:43

I liked the lemonade album. Not much after that though. Destiny’s child were brilliant as well, I just have to hear the beginning of bug a boo and I’m ready!
