I was tested this morning and like everyone would love a negative result, but especially as I ha e something on at the weekend.

I’ve had a positive lateral flow and have symptoms of a cold.

Test at 0930 yesterday morning, email at 2230 last night.

alicema · 03/09/2021 13:58

Took test at 12:30 yesterday, had results about midday today. So just under 24 hours.

CormoranStrike · 03/09/2021 13:59

Oh that is giving me hope - @fannyfifer I guess you may be Scottish like me

@CormoranStrike yup I'm in Fife, hopefully you will get a quick result back as well.

CormoranStrike · 03/09/2021 14:26

I went to Edinburgh airport for my test - positive or negative, I need to know!

24hrs or less - in Shropshire

Hels20 · 03/09/2021 14:42

Still waiting 25 hours later but pretty sure I am positive despite being double jabbed. Took a lateral flow which was positive and have a cold…

FlyingFlamingo · 03/09/2021 14:49

I’ve had 2 this week (symptoms last weekend; part of SIREN study yesterday).
Test 1 - taken 12pm on Saturday at test centre, results 2pm Sunday
Test 2 - dropped off at 10am yesterday, I believe they collect them from the research centre at 3ish for processing, results 7am this morning - I have to say that’s the quickest I’ve ever had but this week I’ve been very impressed!
When I was positive in December I waited over 3 days so it’s definitely getting better. Usually my SIREN tests take about 36 hours.
(This is all in Wales)

Had mine at the hospital this morning, will only get results by Monday if they're positive. This is for an op on Tuesday, so I doubly hope I am ok. Typically, the best weather for a weekend in a long time an we all have to stay in the house. Thankfully we have a decent size garden. Hope you get yours soon @CormoranStrike

EduCated · 03/09/2021 14:51

Went through the drive through 8.30am yesterday, had the result at 9.30pm last night. Was impressed to get it same day! DH took one a couple of weeks ago and got the result the next morning.

CormoranStrike · 03/09/2021 14:54

This weekend we have a funeral, a wedding and a barbecue to go to - I really would like to get to these!

It's just taken 48 hours to get mine from a new centre nearby. Previous places we've used have been within 24 hours, so not very impressed Angry

Reallybadidea · 03/09/2021 14:58

What did your lft look like? My anecdotal experience from friends/family is that if the line is coloured, comes up quickly and you have symptoms then it's probably correct.

CormoranStrike · 03/09/2021 15:12

This was mine

It’s not showing there, but in real life there’s a clear line

Had one Tuesday after a positive lft on Sunday got negative result by text Wednesday afternoon

Dakmom · 03/09/2021 22:49

Hi,

Have you got the result yet? Mine was at Edinburgh airport centre at 2.30 pm. I also have plans for this weekend

EmeraldGreenVelvet · 03/09/2021 22:51

Fast, a couple of weeks ago. Drive thru test at 3.30pm and results back before 7.30am. So 16 hours.

DocAutumn · 03/09/2021 23:03

27 hours. Wednesday morning test, Thursday afternoon result. I think they are taking a bit longer at the moment as so many people are testing.

healmebaby · 03/09/2021 23:07

positive LFs are unlikely, just assume you’re positive and act accordingly

BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz · 03/09/2021 23:37

I've always done my tests before 2pm at the local walk through, and always had the results by 9am the next day. Often 4/5am.

CormoranStrike · 04/09/2021 08:00

No results as yet.
