How long did it take you to get your PCR result?

I was tested this morning and like everyone would love a negative result, but especially as I ha e something on at the weekend.

I’ve had a positive lateral flow and have symptoms of a cold.

Make sure you register the tests too, I forgot and it took 5 days! Probably would have been 24hrs ish had I done it in the first place!

I’m just outside Glasgow and waited 36 hours.

I was positive, with 1 neg and 1 slight positive lft.

Check your email. My test was 6pm Thursday. Email result came in at 11om last night but text only came at 7am tiday. Negative thankfully.

18 hours in Surrey area - tested yesterday afternoon 2pm ish, results came back 8.20am.

Do we need to register test if we it’s done int the test centre?. I thought we need to register only if we do it at home

Easterhouse. 23 hours last week. Husband had positive lat flow. He had positive PCR. Mines negative and lat flows have stayed negative since for me

I’m still waiting for my PCR results but I have done another lateral flow - this one came up a very dark, strong positive within seconds.

How long did it take you to get your PCR result?

I’m going nowhere! I am so gutted to be missing my niece’s wedding today - it was postponed from last year, and now I’ve had to cancel at the last possible moment.

Still no results - this is painful. My daughter went for hers a few hours after mine and has had a negative result already - me, I’m just waiting along.

Still no results for me too. What time your daughter took the test? Was that too at Edinburgh airport? I am scared if it’s positive and that’s why it takes a bit long. I have a 1 year old. We have been taking all precautions to not to get this.

I can see the line - had many positive friends with a faint line like this on the ltf tests. Colleague tested at Edin airport on Monday morning and didn't get results til Wednesday evening. Think they are a bit busy just now

I had regular PCR tests last year at drive ins when I had to have weekly tests for work. I ALWAYS got the results within 24 hours. When they switched to sending them off I heard within 48 hours each time.

I had to pay for a day two test on return from an essential (definitely not fun) trip in August and it’s now been 12 days since I sent the test off and no result yet. They’ve received it but not processed it yet and it cost nearly £90!

Yes, it was a faint line on Friday, today’s lateral flow was very dark and instant.

DD went to the drive through at Falkirk, maybe they are not as busy.

I think it's pot luck. I've tested at same time as dd and had hers come back 2 days before mine . I've also had an instance where the result didn't come back at all. That was last November and I'm still waiting 😆

taken at drive thru 1.30 pm weds, still waiting....
Ring up and chase. My sister had not heard after 3 days so rang and there was an error with the qr code so the result was there but had failed to push through.

Asked for kit Wednesday, got my kit in the post Thirsday, posted back Thursday afternoon, got results friday 5pm. pretty impressed.

Finally got a negative result. Took 29 hrs to get the result

Got a positive yesterday late eve after 35 hours - SW London drive through. Got a positive also from my PCR Day 2 testing - which was posted - came back within 26 hours. I am v definitely positive despite double vaccination….

I finally got my PCR results when I chased by phone after 72 hours. My husband got his by text with it 24 hours. Both positive.
