The BBQ bus has left the station, hasn't it? Time for Casseroles?!

Actually, it feels like we never really got a good BBQ season this year - I'm hoping we can squeeze one more out of the year, before the bad weather settles in, in earnest.

However, tonight it's devilled sausages, mash, and veg'. Followed by chocolate mousse.

What's for tea in your manor?

We're having salmon with peri peri rice and veg. I'm going to Greece on Saturday though so I'm trying to string out summer a bit longer.

Oooh, that sounds gorgeous! As does Greek food in Greece, I'm green with envy!

Gammon I think or maybe mackerel curry.

We had loads of great BBQ days up here NE Scotland!
But yes, I think the weather has turned a bit and Autumn has commenced!

Winter bbqs are lovely. Fire puts, warm coat, sparklers. And the chef doesn't overheat...

Or so my husband claims anyway...

Oh yes, love winter BBQ's - we have one every New Year's Eve.

I miss Greek food. We lived in Cyprus for two years. Cypriot Meze was one of our favourite meals ever... (its different to Greek)

Pasta Bolognaise for us

I'm doing roast chicken with an Asian influenced salad which isn't very autumnal but I'm really looking forward to casseroles and baked spuds!

We had a BBQ yesterday. I must admit, I'm looking forward to the stodgy meals 😋 tonight its chicken salad and then magnums for dinner/pud.

Well I made a crumble the other day so for me autumn is officially on its way woohoo..

It was bloody lush aswell! Custard of course..

We're having pad thai.
I agree casserole weather seems to be here to stay.
Had savoury mince with jacket potato yesterday which felt autumnal

I've been in Spain for 3 weeks and was really looking forward to coming home and making lots of autumn food. I've just meal planned for the week-

Homemade burgers with cheese and bacon with sweet potato wedges and corn on the cob
Chicken, leek, new potato and tarragon casserole.
Chicken, chorizo and bean casserole
Sausage casserole with mash
Campfire stew with baked potatoes
Beef brisket casserole with mashed carrot and swede
Roast beef and all the bits.

Oh and I'm also making stewed apple and blackberry to have hot with Greek yogurt and homemade granola for breakfast.

BBQ here. I've got Covid and can't taste anything/don't feel like eating, so DH is busily cooking himself all the things I don't normally like, eg, pork ribs, chicken on the bone.

A Bbq😂😂 the 1st in about 2 years. Really, I dislike them. But we have a guest for the week so i thought it was a good idea.

Back to the garage tonight.

Oh and. Got 2lb of blackberries this afternoon. So batched and frozen for crumbles.

Chilli here tonight, and I added crumble ingredients to my online shop for later in the week.

There’s usually an improvement in the weather just as the schools go back so there might be one or two more bbqs to be had, but definitely not today in the NE 🥶

We had soup for lunch - autumn is definitely on the way!!

We had fish and chips, well, they did and I had fisherman's pie. Last day of hols blowout before school tomorrow.

Vegetable and cheese pasta.
Made roast chicken yesterday with stuffing,mash,carrot and swede,broccoli and yorkies

Slow cooker chicken, tomatoes, aubergine, peppers and mushrooms. Dash of chilli, paprika, garlic. Will have with rice.
I love Autumn slow cooker meals I can bung in and forget about until I serve.
