Are there any stores or companies you refuse to shop from or deal with?

As the thread title says - I have just decided to shop anywhere except a major high street electrical / computer company from now onwards after a couple of poor customer service issues. I shopped there from convenience, but I'm fed up with them now.
This got me thinking. I avoid any MLM, even though I really like some products I was given as a gift, and stores with poor ethics regarding production, worker treatment, etc.
Do you have any you actively avoid?

What Tops tiles? Because of their customer service.
I had ordered my floor tiles from Tile Giant who couldn’t have been more helpful. The salesman advised me to wait until the weekend for 15% off.
I tried to order the wall tiles, but they were unavailable.
I tried Wickes, B and Q and the. TOPS.
Considering I was planning to buy 6 metres, it wasn’t an insignificant amount.
The men in there just couldn’t be arsed to check if some were available £59 a metre. The other issue was hearing them talk about an apprentice they had. So disrespectful.
My wall tiles came from a smaller shop in Fakenham

Nestle - baby-milk policy in developing countries + big boss' statement that access to water should be a right
Ryanair - they treat their staff and passengers like s**t
Amazon - the way they treat their staff, the fact they dodge taxes everywhere, the way they destroy small business...

Green Flag after the worlds worst experience which left me stranded for 4 hours by the side of the M1 at night in the cold because they mistakenly marked that my car has been repaired. My phone battery died and it wasn't until the police came that I was able to sort it out.

Local car supermarket for having a annoying sales person who told me to 'go home and speak to my husband' when I ummed and ahhed a little about which car I wanted to purchase. I was spending £6k, which I had saved up for for 4 years and it was all my own money but its a firtune to me so I wanted to be sure. When I told him i was divorced he tried to backtrack but it didn't work.

It's funny how the same names keep popping up all the time. Currys for me for bad customer service and I'm going to try and avoid Samsung as a make from now on as well. To be honest customer service has been getting steadily worse for years everywhere.

I won't buy The Sun and there is a trampoline park I won't go back to, but apart from that I don't really do boycotts.

I try to avoid Amazon if I can but sometimes it's just too convenient.

I avoid a local car wash because they sent me to the cash point with a baby because I was 10p short. They put their price up from £10 to £13 and I only went with a £10 note. I scrambled the car and found an extra £2.90 but they still sent me to the cash point. This was a few years ago and it's right near my house, but I still avoid out of principle.

MimiDaisy11 · 26/08/2021 16:14

Amazon - for how they treat their staff.

Clinton cards near me - when I was a teenager I was shopping with a friend when a manager and security guard came over and asked us to buy something or leave. We left with them escorting us out. We hadn’t done anything nor were we in the shop for that long. I don’t know if they’d just had issues with teenagers which doesn’t excuse treating all teenagers badly. Either way it was horrible.
