Has anyone got a Joseph Joseph bin?

I literally hate kitchen bins, I never had one and put rubbish straight outside but DH insists we do. I hate the smell and the thought of accidentally touching the contents turns my stomach. They’re also all ugly and obtrusive.

I really like the appeal of the Joseph Joseph totem bin but I’m a little unsure how it works exactly and if it is worth the price tag. Has anyone got one?

There is a 3D print file for the lid on Thingiverse. At the time we had a 3D printer (still do but it’s not set up at present) so downloaded the file and made the part.
