I’m looking to buy some chocolates as a gift. I think Lindt chocolates are very nice, but I’m looking to buy something extra special. Does anyone have any recommendations? Thank you.

Paul A Young salted caramels - or any of his chocolates really!

NuttySlacker · 25/08/2021 10:16

Lauden chocolates are the best of all the ones I've tasted.

Thank you very much for your recommendations. I will look into them all. I remember I had a fresh cream chocolate maybe about 25-30 years ago that was the best chocolate I’ve ever tasted. Shame I can’t remember who they were made by!

Boojabooja are lush.
But my special treat once a year from Father Christmas are Charbonnel et Walker Marc de Champagne Truffles. My favourite is the dark chocolate but there are several varieties available - but it's less easy to get hold of a "selection box" type thing from that brand if you want a variety rather than getting a box of a single flavour. So I would go for Godiva or Holddworth.

I don't rate Lindt that highly tbh - the texture doesn't live up to the standards I have got used to (apologies for food-snobbishness but I go for small quantities of expensive chocolates as a rare treat rather than cheaper stuff which could be afforded more often)

Howshouldibehave · 25/08/2021 16:35

Fortnum and Mason are lush

Audreys chocolates. Suppliers to Fortnum and Mason and by far the best chocolates I've ever had

allycat4 · 25/08/2021 16:45

Fortnum and Mason. Super expensive though.

Highland chocolatier chocolates are beautiful

Montezuma chocolates are also amazing, I love their mint crunch chocolate.
