And it's not a boxroom or a 3rd bedroom - it's the only one!

That's a very weird floorplan! The bedroom seems to have been made from the shower room or vice versa?
That’s what I thought!
SimonedeBeauvoirscat · 24/08/2021 20:51

I don’t understand how you get into the shower room from the corridor / bedroom with that bed there.

Hellotoallmyfans · 24/08/2021 20:51

It's actually more than you would get for the money where I live 🤷‍♀️

Horses for courses and all that.

EverythingsComingUpRoses · 24/08/2021 20:51

I think it's a studio bungalow

That loft room looks dangerous!

Mumoftwoinprimary · 24/08/2021 20:53

@JohnnyMcGrathSaysFuckOff

Crikey. I live in Devon and we paid £30k more for our house but have 2 double bedrooms, a generous box, a utility room and a garden.... why is Kenilworth so expensive?!
I know Kenilworth. Really good schools. Decent transport links. Very “naice”.
Emmelina · 24/08/2021 20:54

Wow. What size is that bed? It’s definitely not a full single if the room is only 3’11” wide!

banisher · 24/08/2021 20:54

Have to say, although it's a bit unusual, I was expecting worse and I've lived in worse. Our flat right now isn't much bigger than that really.

Some of you have obviously lived much nicer lives than mine! Grin

CoronaPeroni · 24/08/2021 20:58

You've got to love estate agent speak. 'One bedroom with en-suite'.

thecatfromjapan · 24/08/2021 20:58

Friends bedroom was slightly smaller than that when we first moved to London.

BrilliantBetty · 24/08/2021 20:59

Similar to a caravan?
The bed looks narrower than a standard single. Perhaps one of the residents couldn't make it up the loft ladder anymore and they had to improvise!

One of my DC bedroom is teeny tiny. Not quite this small, but not far off considering the stair box.

AlfonsoTheMango · 24/08/2021 21:00

Nooooo.

cittigirl · 24/08/2021 21:00

I dont think they can call either a bedroom as the downstairs one doesn't have a window. Its essentially a studio!

pinkflask · 24/08/2021 21:01

It’s not sneery, that’s not the size of even a small bedroom! My DD used to have a box room that really was tiny but it still fit a full-sized single bed, wardrobe etc.

pinkflask · 24/08/2021 21:02

It feels like the downstairs was perhaps one big room and they partitioned it?

Comedycook · 24/08/2021 21:02

My friends flat had a really odd absolutely tiny room in it...not enough space to use it for anything. She kept her laundry in it!

HairyMaryMyCanary · 24/08/2021 21:03

Someone's granny flat?

CornishPastyDownUnder · 24/08/2021 21:03

Being detained courtesy ofHMP would score bigger bedroom&155k? thats extortion..

Bythemillpond · 24/08/2021 21:03

The loft room isn’t a bedroom and the bedroom downstairs says it has a window behind the bed but you can’t see one so even that I would consider to be not really a bedroom. The other end of the room is doors to the living room.

The shower room larger is than the bedroom

Who could it in that bed?

At 25 sq metres I doubt it is even mortgageable
£576 per square foot is extortionate

MrsMaizel · 24/08/2021 21:03

It looks like a corridor and they are being very optimistic when you look at the others in the area.

entropynow · 24/08/2021 21:03

@Hen2018

My sons’ room is 9 feet x 5.5.

It contains their 7 feet long bunk bed.

They’ve survived without incident here for 18 years.

They must get on a lot better than my two ever did, lol
Hellocatshome · 24/08/2021 21:04

Its not sneery its shock that things like that are deemed as sellable. I cant think that either of those bedrooms meet building regs.

BrieAndChilli · 24/08/2021 21:04

The loft looks like it’s accessed by a ladder so can’t technically be a room and would be a fire risk or hard to get up and down if ill/injured.

PickAChew · 24/08/2021 21:04

Is that bed a fold down one?

ItsAChallengingWank · 24/08/2021 21:05

Well my only question is...... where is the loo roll?

What am I missing?

Galassia · 24/08/2021 21:06

The only good thing I can say about it is that at least you could hoover, dust, tidy up the whole of that doll sized house in less than 3 minutes!

Homeowner - Hello, I want to buy a carpet that will fit all of my home.

Carpet shop owner- Certainly madam, we sell by the metre.

Homeowner - I only need a metre.
