I'm planning a party for a significant birthday later in the year and want to create a playlist of top tunes to dance along to.

I'd be very grateful for your suggestions.

TIA.

Think it might depend a bit on the birthday?

Dance floor will fill very differently if it's your 21st versus your 50th?

Liltzero · 24/08/2021 19:19

It's my 50th so tunes from the 1970's onwards please Smile

I’ll think about this but thank you for asking the question. My younger son is getting married next year and his playlist presently could use a few ‘dance floor fillers’.

Depends what you and your crowd are into…pop, rock, indie, old goths or ravers…

Look up all the now albums from the relevant years and add the tracks that jump out at you. You can always cull later. Check the top 20s lists online too because some artists eg Madonna never feature on 'Now'

This was my first thought, I think of it as my generation's Mr Brightside. Grin

Just don’t do what a friend of ours did and have the Jim’ll Fix It theme tune - tbf it was some time ago so might have been before we all found out what he had been up to. But in any case they had been desperate to appear on the show and had a lucky escape by all accounts.
