I'm planning a party for a significant birthday later in the year and want to create a playlist of top tunes to dance along to.

I'd be very grateful for your suggestions.

TIA.

Most of The Sweet's output - Ballroom Blitz was featured in Wayne's World

Slade did more than I Wish it Could Be Christmas Everyday - some good stuff there iirc.

Hi Ho Silver Lining - Jeff Beck

Disco Inferno - The Trammps

Alvin Stardust

Night Fever was a (surprisingly to me) rock solid floor filler recently.
Crazy in Love and Single Ladies
Brimful of Asha
Jump Around - I love how it's morphed from an edgy live experience into a jolly all ages dancealong.

Ooh yes and Dare by Gorillaz

Many Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons tracks are great to dance to.

If you have Apple Music they have some good playlists they've put together for various 'moods' including a few party ones which include lots of the suggestions on here. They are long too - so loads of tracks - you can just put one on and leave it to play.

You Never Can Tell by Chuck Berry - get everyone recreating the dance scene from Pulp Fiction.

Also:
The Timewarp
Canned Heat - Jamiroquai
Want to Want Me - Jason Derulo
Shut Up and Dance - Walk the Moon
Can't Stop the Feeling - Michael Jackson/Justin Timberlake

99 Luftballons by Nena was the unexpected dance floor filler at my wedding (close to 50 myself).

Young hearts (Romeo and Juliet soundtrack)
Celebration Kool and the Gang
You’ll always find me in the kitchen at parties Jonie Lewie
The only way is up Yaz
Respectable Mel and Kim
Don’t you want me? The Human League
Justified and Ancient The KLF
