I'm to lazy to look properly bur I did quickly search to see if there were any threads around!

What's happening today?

I'm in bed with a cuppa, DD at granny's for the weekend so it's very quiet! Walk the dog later,lounge around etc the exciting stuff 😂

What is everyone up to?

In my flat, flat mate was playing loud music all night and early hours of the morning. He probably still is. I am at work (had an early shift, no sleep).

When I get back, before my big tidy up I am going through my knife drawer and then he will be no more!

My kids are asleep. Well, I say kids. One's 22 and the other turns 21 tomorrow. My husband is downstairs drinking coffee and watching the news and I am desperately trying to negotiate with the cat. I want to start work. She wants to be stroked.

I'm drinking coffee and reading a cookbook, Mumsnet, and the New Yorker simultaneously. DH is writing something, and our houseguest is having a lesson over zoom on the classical Indian flute. We will go out for a long walk later and then round to DH's mum for tea. DCs staying with their grandparents so we are luxuriating as much as possible before they return!!

I’ve been up a couple of hours, had tea, fed the dog.
Dh muttered about his weird dream and went back to sleep
Dds and their friend still sleeping (first week back at school over)

Will need to nudge everyone up soon as dh is decorating the front room and he needs to go and do a bit of food shopping first before he gets all covered in paint lol

@IveGotASongThatllGetOnYNerves stay and cuddle that beautiful cat a little longer! Ours passed last year and I really miss our morning snuggles

Sofa and cuddles day with the kids after a very busy few weeks and then dinner with a friend who has been shielding since the beginning of the pandemic.

Toddler was sick in the night and I've got an infected foot so we're currently watching Waffle the Wonder Dog and feeling sorry for ourselves.

Currently making chocolate brownie to deliver to a friend who is just out of hospital. Then washing, cleaning, shopping and generally getting organised for a busy week ahead. MIL is popping round for coffee later.

DH has just gone out to sell newspapers with his political party branch. I'm enjoying watching baby DD totter around the living room looking pleased with her newfound walking skills.

DCat is asleep on the sofa, like the lazy oaf he is.

Bad mumma alert here. Dh working all day. It's raining so

I feel Drained we've had a hectic week days out and decorating . Now Waiting for someone to repair a door. Then do lunch hopefully rain will stop and go for a walk to shops for a choccy treat.
Hopefully have energy to cook if not kids having bolognese I froze down the other day and well have Indian

We're going to a friends house tonight and I'm taking dessert so I've put the ganache on the chocolate cake I made yesterday and have made a cheesecake. Nipped to the supermarket earlier and now I'm having a soak in the bath. Not much on today till tonight, just going to chill. It's chucking it down here anyway and we had a late night last night axe throwing and bbq 😁

I'm heading out to the butcher in a minute and then the rest of the day will be various cleaning jobs preparing for a family gathering next weekend. It will be the first time I've seen my siblings since November 2019.

I'm in a hotel with DP and we'll go out for lunch then an exhibition absolute no kids bliss

Eldest on the balcony on her phone, 2 ds are on iPads, dd2 is doing a practice paper, me and dh are drinking coffe and we are about to head down to the pool. Slow start to the day we are in Spain on holiday til the end of the month.

Dc at grandparents for the night. I’m sat with a hot cuppa waiting for DH to finish some work, then out for nice lunch and the cinema.

My 8 yr old son is going to a birthday party, and me, Grandma and my 4 yr old are going to my favourite farm shop for lunch🥰

Lazy, wet day today. Got up late as went to bed late and ds came home even later after seeing his friends which he hasn't seen for a year! Must have been a good night as he was a bit ill this morning and he never is.
Dog walk when I feel up to it, then will redye my hair after dying it this week and realising I'd bought the wrong one and it is far too dark. The new one is much blonder so we shall see what happens

Just watched Horrible Histories with DD while we ate lunch (I consider it her history lesson), DS is "napping" (by which I mean, he's making a mess of his room but its still a break for me so I don't care), OH is playing guitar in the basement.

Going to have a cup of tea then get DS up and we'll go do the food shop. OH's little sister is coming round later to play with DD. If it doesn't rain any more I might go out to the garden to pick redcurrants to freeze.

Currently having a cuppa, toddler nicked some of my toast. Cocomelon is playing in the background while I mentally brainstorm my tasks today!

I've just finished cleaning the bathroom while 22 month DS was emptying all the cupboards in the dining room, he is very proud of his work.

Hosted a playdate this morning, had a lovely time. DH downstairs getting things ready for lunch tomorrow - lots of old friends coming, some we haven't seen since pre-covid. I'm getting over a flu so bloody tired. I've come upstairs for a nap, will probably put on a Disney film for the kids later and watch it with them

Online shopping for waterproof clothing because it's August and the rain's been bouncing off the windows since, well, July
